Top 10 Fantasy Performers – Week 3:
Ronnie Brown – Miami Dolphins – Avg. Score: 38 – 4 Rushing TD’s, 1 Throwing. The slant: Miami HC Tony Sparano said the team will continue to the use off-set formation that showcased Brown. Brown will make for an interesting start now much of the year now as he is the feature of the set.
Michael Turner – Atlanta Falcons – Avg. Score: 28. Turner has been impressive for the Falcons and many fantasy owners are very pleased with his performances. Can it continue? Turner ran fo 104 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was however playing the Chiefs.
Phillip Rivers – San Diego Chargers – Avg. Score: 23. 3 touchdowns and 250 yards against the reeling NY Jets.
Brett Favre – NY Jets – Avg. Score: 20. 271 yards, 2 TD’s, and 2 Int’s. Favre played from behind most of the game and it is a trend that may continue throughout the year forcing the Jets to throw more than they don’t. Keep an eye on the Jets “wheels” should they start to fall off.
Brian Griese – Tampa Bay Bucs’ – Avg. Score 20. 403 yards, 2 touchdowns, 3 interceptions. The interceptions cost Griese owners an average of 6 points.

Week 3 Injuries
GOING
Jeremy Shockey – New Orleans Saints – Sports Hernia – Out 3 to 6 weeks. Surgery is scheduled this week so figure it closer to the 5 to 6 week range.
Brian Westbrook – Philadelphia Eagles – Ankle Sprain – Day to day, but an ankle sprain is a must watch for a RB. Especially one like Westbrook. You may want to hand-cuff him this week just in case.
Jon Kitna – Detroit Lions – They are calling it a knee “sprain”. Either way, his injury will need to be watched if you are starting him on your team.
Al Harris – Cornerback – Green Bay – Out for the season after reportedly rupturing his spleen. Tests are still ongoing.
Jason Taylor – DE – Washintong Redskins – Taylor has been nicked up all season, now he will miss this weeks Cowboys game after having a minor surgical procedure to releive fluid buildup in his calf.
COMING
Adrian Peterson – Peterson showed no ill effects from his sore hamstring and said he felt fine after the game. While he was not his usual self agains the Panthers, it’s good new for his owners.
Darren McFadden – Although he was slower than normal, McFadden faced a good Buffalo defense and said that the had felt no discomfort in his ailing toe.
What’s Available
Week 4 is on the horizon and there is not much left in free agency that hasn’t been picked through. If your in need of some bye week fill-ins for your roster, maybe a few of these guys may help for a week. If your looking for a long term fix…you may be in trouble.

RB’s: Le’Ron Mclain – Baltimore, Darren Sproles – San Diego, TJ Duckett – Seattle, Steve Slaton – Houston (not likely), Correl Buchhalter – Philadelphia (Hand-cuff)
WR’s: Miles Austin – Dallas Cowboys, Antonio Bryant – Tampa Bay, Ike Hilliard – Tampa Bay, Roscoe Parrish – Buffalo
TE’s and Kickers: There should be plenty to choose from for the bye-weeks.
Defenses – Most leagues are thin so if you need a defense, play the match-up.
