It’s Thursday morning and we are starting to see bits of info filter in around the internet…not much…but a little, the real information comes on Friday and Saturday morning as the injury reports take shape. Still, there is some INFO for you die-hards.
Troy Smith – QB – Baltimore Ravens – Returned to practice after his bout with tonsillitis back in August. He lost 20 pounds due to the illness and has gained back half of that. His future is up in the air as a starter with Joe Flacco, the rookie, starting now and not looking all that bad. Troy Smith has absolutely zero fantasy value right now.
Chris Henry – WR – Bengals – Henry is scheduled to be eligible to play again in week 5 against the Dallas Cowboys, however, it is not appearing as though he will be ready. Wouldn’t start him against the ‘Boyz anyways. In really deep leagues, Henry may be worth watching…o.k. not really.
Matt Forte – RB – Chicago Bears – Lovie Smith is worried about how well the rookie RB will be able to run against the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend. Forte currently leads the NFL in carries with 73 through 3 games.
Jerry Porter – WR – Jacksonville Jaguars - Porter, who has been suffering through a hamstring injury practiced fully on Wednesday. Jags HC refused to comment on his situation…likely a ploy to keep the oppositing guessing this weekend until he has to announce his injury report.
