Holmes Home For At Least One Game

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Featured | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced that WR Santonio Holmes will miss this Sunday’s game against the N.Y. Giants because of internal reasons.  The team did not say that it is disciplinary for Holmes being pulled over with Mary-Jane blunts in his car.  Now, the fine from the cops will be minimal and it is a misdemeanor.  He wasn’t arrested and wasn’t even ticketed.  That will come through the mail.  However, the NFL does not like drugs and they hate Marijuana…ask Ricky Williams.
The NFL will likely find a way to test Holmes and if he tests positive he will be placed [...]

Mail Bag: Who To Start

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Featured | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

A reader named John Emailed us today and asked who he should start at WR.  He says he can start 2 of the following three.  Mushin Muhammad, Torry Holt, and Lance Moore.  Thank you for your Email John.
Hi John,
Thank you for asking us who you should start this week.
Your 3 WR’s are Torry Holt, Mushin Muhammad, and Lance Moore of which you can start two.
If given the choice I would go with Torry Holt and Lance Moore.
The reason is that Carolina tries to run the ball far more than it makes sense to start anyone other than Steve Smith.  Lance Moore has another good [...]

Week 7 Hot Match-Ups

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Featured | COMMENTS: None Yet

Week 7 is a day away and last minute roster moves are being made everywhere.  Some like LaDainian Tomlinson and Adrian Peterson are weekly no-brainers but what match-ups look good this week?
Dallas Vs. St. Louis:
Even with Tony Romo questionable…and he shouldn’t play this week in my opinion…the Cowboys look like they have a dream fantasy match-up.  Jason Witten is a must start in any league you have him in.  Witten could be the go to guy for Brad Johnson if he starts over Romo and if Romo does start, his finger may not allow him to throw an accurate [...]

Brett Favre's Love Call Inspires Romo

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Fantasy News | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

Ah the love between two QB’s.  Brett Favre the ageless one and the youngster out of Dallas.  One grew up idolizing the other so when the phone rang and Tony Romo heard the voice of his idol Brett Favre, he knew this was more than a “keep your chin up kid” kind of phone call.  Brett Favre offered some advice, if you can play you owe it to your teammates to play, if you can’t than don’t.  Or something like that.
Well apparently it has hit it’s mark as Romo has informed his team and coaches that he intends to [...]

Williams Trade Impacts Fantasy Leagues

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Featured | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Detroit Lions traded disgruntle WR Roy Williams to the Dallas Cowboys yesterday just prior to the league mandated trade deadline.  For those fantasy teams that have Roy Williams, you are probably smiling from
ear to ear as he now becomes a bit more valuable.  For those of you holding Terrell Owens, your probably not quite sure what this means.

First the trade itself is causing some serious head-scratching around the league.  A 1st, 3rd, 6th, and possibly a 7th for the 27 year old youngster who is about to see his contract expire has some in the league wondering what Jerry [...]

Week 6 News & Notes

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Fantasy News, Featured | COMMENTS: None Yet

So week 6 is a day away and your fretting over your line-ups.  I know because I just finished resetting all mine for the 100th time this week.  By now you probably have a good indication on how your team is going to do this year.  Your either sitting at the bottom holding out mathematical hope for a playoff birth as the final seed, or your sitting at the top praying against injuries that could derail your season.
If your like me, you check your rosters daily, so with that being said, here are some changes you need to make before [...]

Week 5 Starts & Sits

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Fantasy News | COMMENTS: None Yet

Week 5 begins on Sunday as the NFL treks into the 2nd quarter of the NFL season.  For the most part, fantasy football has been a block of duds with few surprises.  High draft picks have not panned out for some while others have found late draft or undrafted gems.  This however is week 5, and there are some guys you should consider sitting this week although they may be healthy, and others that you probabably never thought about starting in the first place.

Who Do I Start? The Email Bag

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Featured | COMMENTS: None Yet

Brian,
I have a dillema this week and don’t know which of my WR’s I should sit.  I can start 3.  My WR’s are Donald Driver, Anquan Boldin, Devery Henderson, and Bryant Johnson.  What would you do?
- Tom J.

Tom,
I would bench Boldin this week.  In reality I can’t imagine that after the hit he took at the end of the Jets game that he will be ready to play.  He was unconcious and taken off the field in a stretcher.  Regardless of whether he is healthy or not, the team would be smart to give him another week to fully [...]
