This past weekend was the weekend for the QB.  If you had the right one and actually started him, you likely came out of the weekend with a win…unless of course your opponent had one to.  The question now is can it continue?  With playoffs starting for some in another week, this is now crunch time and the first place your going to look is to your QB.

It’s week 12 and that means that you have 2 maybe 3 weeks before your league begins playoffs.  Some leagues will start in week 14 with 3 weeks of elimination games and no week 17 battles.  So the next two weeks become more and more important if your on the edge of making the top 4, 6, or 8 in your league.

Reggie Bush missed practice again on Friday and will not be available for the Saints when they visit Kansas City on Sunday,
Deuce McAllister will get a majority of the carrries and should be a in for a good day against the Chiefs. The Chiefs rank dead last in rushing yards given up per game (172.3). Also the Chiefs look to be without LB Derrick Johnson, DE Tamba Hali, and MLB Pat Thomas. Pierre Thomas will back-up Deuce and could see some touches, but he will not be worthy of a start.

One of our readers has Emailed me and asked about the current state of RB’s.  With Clinton Portis likely out this week the question is “should I pick up his back-up or go for someone else?”.  First let’s look at Portis’ back-up and the match-up against the Dallas Cowboys.
Ladell Betts is a question mark and that leaves Shaun Alexander…yes the same Shaun from Seattle.  Personally, I don’t take either one of them.  Betts’ injury concern could be problematic as he may not see a full load of carries and Alexander is not appealing because he has been out of football [...]

Tony Romo will play on Sunday…good news for the Cowboys.  Ben Rothlisberger apparently received a mental signal that he “gets” and is practicing even with a sprained shoulder…he should be playing as well.  Now word out of Seattle is that Matt Hasselbeck has returned to practice as has Deion Branch.  
For the Seattle Seahawks this is huge news.  The ‘Hawks have struggled with Seneca Wallace at QB…not that they weren’t with Matt, but the return of another viable WR option will help either QB.  The Seahawks have been decimated by injuries this season at the WR position so this return [...]

It appears that Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo will be starting this coming weekend against the Washington Redskins.  Romo has missed the last 4 games with a broken finger and the Boy’z are coming off their bye week.  After struggling with him at QB and even moreso without him.  The Cowboys will look to get back on track in the tough NFC East that only a short two months ago was a lock for a Cowboys win.
