This past weekend was the weekend for the QB. If you had the right one and actually started him, you likely came out of the weekend with a win…unless of course your opponent had one to. The question now is can it continue? With playoffs starting for some in another week, this is now crunch time and the first place your going to look is to your QB.

Drew Brees – 4 touchdowns against a very good Green Bay defense was a surprise and a huge reward for those who didn’t see his recent struggles as a problem against GB…kudos to you!

Can it continue? The Saints have Tampa, Atlanta, Chicago, and Detroit in week 16 (when most leagues end). Week 16 is a great match-up if you get that far. He should fair decently against Tampa who is struggling on defense lately and Atlanta as well. Chicago might be tough.

Matt Cassel – 2 consecutive 400 yard games (something Tom Brady never did), 3 touchdowns in the air and one on his legs. Cassel is putting to rest the Bradyless Pats “have no chance” talk.

Can it continue? – The Patriots face a tough Pittsburgh team this week and if Matt Light is suspended for his fight against Channing Crowder last week, Cassel could be be hurting. After NE it gets rather easy. Seattle, Oakland, Arizona. While the game may pose their own threats for a final run that ends with Buffalo, Cassel should have plenty of opportunity to pad his stats…and yours.

Trent Edwards – 2 Touchdowns and 2 rushing TD’s gave Trent four on the day. In most leagues he isn’t the primary starter so your either PO’ed that you didn’t start him, PO’ed that your opponent did, or happy as hell right now. Edwards has been putting up decent numbers, but the Bills win on Sunday ended a 4 game slide.

Can it continue? - The Bills have San Fran this week but then they suffer through the worst part of their schedule. Miami, NY, and a trip to Denver that should rest on Marshawn Lynch rather than Edwards. The finish with NE. Probably not a great start the rest of the way…although he usually plays well against Miami and the SF game should be a nice start as well.
