The Giants announced this afternoon that Brandon Jacobs will sit out action to heal a knee injury that has been bothering him all month. Coach Tom Coughlin announced it to national media earlier this afternoon.
What does this mean fantasy wise? Derrick Ward will get the start for the G-men. Start him in emergencies, simply becuase the Dallas defense is in the top 10 in rushing yards allowed.
In other Injury News:
- ESPN’s John Clayton is reporting that Marion Barber did practice today, and could be used sparingly. This is one of those down to the wire situations. We will keep you updated as more information comes out
- The Eagles have Brian Westbrook listed as probable. He did practice lightly today, but it seems like the knee is coming around.
- For those of you crazy enough to have Daunte Culpepper on your roster, he is out this week against the Colts.
- On the Ravens Radar, both Ray Rice and Derrick Mason practiced Friday for the first time all week.
- Kellen Winslow missed practice on Thursday. He will miss Monday’s showdown against the Eagles.
- Though Roy Williams missed practice Thursday and Friday, the Cowboys expect him to be fully available for the showdown against New York this Sunday.
