First everyone make sure you welcome our new Fantasy CPR writer Joe Dexter! Now, it’s “Championship Weekend” in about 90 percent of the fantasy leagues out there. That means you are pouring over your rosters and wondering who you can put where to fill a need or a hole.
If your like me, your wondering “how the hell did I make it here?” Yes in one league I actually am playing for my second title in 2 years…but will likely lose because frankly, my roster sucks and his doesn’t. So like you, I have spent the last 4 days pouring over [...]

Championship Weekend!
BAL/INDY Tidbits
Here are some notes just before kickoff for tonights game
Marvin Harrison will sit out
The Jags are 1-6 at home. Don’t expect glittering numbers from the offense. Can the defense make a stand thought tonight? – Probably not, those Colts are on a mission.
Even with an injured squad, The Colts haven’t allowed a 100 yard rusher since Week 11. They are digging for it and want it. Playoff hopes are on the line. This is the perfect play for any Colt. Just because like you, they want nothing more than to win this game. With winning comes top notch stats as [...]
One week of fantasy football competition left, for those of you in the championship, it’s time to shine owners. Here are some quick match ups to consider going into week 16.
Saints vs. Lions-
It comes down to the last two games of the season for the Lions to pick up their first victory of 2008. Expect Calvin Johnson, Jason Hanson and Kevin Smith to show up. But the true question is if Dan Orlovsky is worth a pick up in championship week? No Way. Sure, he put up pretty solid numbers last week, and he will control the ball without turning [...]
We all have hopes of upsetting one of the top seeds in the final weeks of the Fantasy Football season. I have the chance to do that tonight, with a big game from Eagles Running back Brian Westbrook. I’m down 14 fantasy points. Will I do it? I have no idea. My competition, who went 11-3 this season, only has Philly kicker David Akers going. All I can hope is that Akers doesn’t become the Garbage Picking Field Goal Kicking Philadelphia Phenomenon.
Let’s break down the strong and weak performances this weekend, as we saw a slew of top performers under [...]
Help Me Out: Cassel or Rivers
Some how it has come down to this. I am 7-7 in my league, with a third seed facing the number two this week in the opening round of the playoffs. I have no idea how I got there. My team has been in shambles all year. Let’s forget about the fact that I’m 7-7 and I’m in (Let us consider it luck). My draft didn’t go as well as I hoped. I waited until my last pick to draft my starting quarterback, Phillip Rivers. I was lucky enough to pick up Matt Cassel off of waivers mid-season. Since that [...]
Looking for that quick edge over your opponent, and need someone to fill your flex spot? Here are a couple guys to keep an eye on, and even take a chance with this sunday.
Tatum Bell- Bell could be that spark in week 15 if you are in desperation. I wouldn’t rank Bell higher than say Pierre Thomas, but if you are low in waiver ranks, and noone else is available, Bell isn’t such a bad idea. With Peyton Hillus out the rest of the season, It seems that Bell will get the majority of the carries. Though Jay Cutler and [...]
The Giants announced this afternoon that Brandon Jacobs will sit out action to heal a knee injury that has been bothering him all month. Coach Tom Coughlin announced it to national media earlier this afternoon.
What does this mean fantasy wise? Derrick Ward will get the start for the G-men. Start him in emergencies, simply becuase the Dallas defense is in the top 10 in rushing yards allowed.
In other Injury News:
ESPN’s John Clayton is reporting that Marion Barber did practice today, and could be used sparingly. This is one of those down to the wire situations. We will keep you updated [...]
Week 15: Make or Break 2008
For those of us whose fantasy football are lucky enough to be in it this week, this is truly make or break. In one of my leagues, I was able to squeak by this season with 7-7 season. Thanks to two teams pulling a 13-1 and 11-3 record. If you would of asked a few weeks ago, I wouldn’t of thought I would of been in this position. With the third seed, all it takes is a good week, and some good choices. Thankfully, I didn’t start Reggie Bush on Thursday. But I did miss out on a 38 point [...]
