Post-Combine Fantasy CPR Mock Draft 22-32

by Fantasy News

22. Minnesota Vikings: Percy Harvin, WR Florida- Harvin gives the Vikings a true playmaker beyond Adrian Peterson. Brad Childress and company will have a lot of choices in the war room. Darrius Heyward-Bey will still be available, but Harvin is the full package, who could return kicks as well.

23. New England Patriots: Brandon Pettigrew, TE Oklahoma State- Defensive line is most likely the biggest need for the Patriots, alongside cornerback and linebacker, but you never know what this staff is going to do. That’s why I went with a  curveball here.

24. Atlanta Falcons: Larry English, DE/LB Northern Illinois- With Keith Brookings gone, the Falcons need to find a playmaker in this draft. What is great about English is his versatility. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Falcons use him at both positions if he is drafted at the 24th spot.

25. Miami Dolphins: Clay Matthews, LB USC- Miami has a real need for linebacker, and will take a stretch pick at number 25 to get Matthews. If Percy Harvin is available, he could stay close to Gainsville and be a playmaker in the wildcat formation alongside Ted Ginn.

26. Baltimore Ravens: Darrius Heyward-Bey, WR Maryland-Though I believe that the Ravens will be in the hunt for Terrell Owens (they have always had a love for him), Bey gives the Ravens extreme speed, and a deep ball threat.

27. Indianapolis Colts: Brian Robiskie, WR Ohio State- Without Marvin Harrison lining up at the line of scrimmage in 2009, the Colts will look for the best receiver available at this pick. Robiskie has good size and speed, and is more of a number two guy than former Buckeye teammate Anthony Gonzalez.

28. Philadelphia Eagles: Chris ‘Beanie’ Wells, RB Ohio State- The Eagles were hoping for Moreno at number 21, but will go with the next best option. He will have to work on catching the ball out of the backfield to have success, but he could do some damage as Brian Westbrook’s successor.

29. New York Giants: Kenny Britt, WR Rutgers- Britt gives the Giants someone to replace if Plaxico doesn’t return for 2009. The all-time Big East leader in receiving yards, Britt is willing to go over the middle, and is a great route runner.

30. Tennessee Titans: Peria Jerry, DT Mississippi- what is a good way to replace Albert Haynesworth? By drafting what many believe to be the second best defensive tackle in the draft. Hood out of Missouri could also be a solid pick here if he continues to climb up draft boards.

31. Arizona Cardinals: Michael Johnson, DE Georgia Tech- At one time considered a top ten pick because of his raw talent, Johnson falls to a team that could really use his pass rush ability.  Johnson could be a real game changer for the defending NFC champs.

32. Pittsburgh Steelers: Robert Ayers, DE Tennessee- The Steelers could go offensive line here as well, but Ayers adds another pass rusher with tremendous talent.
