A few thoughts from the third week of preseason games.
I don’t believe Bill Belichick one bit. I’m not saying Tom Brady is really hurt, but I don’t expect Mr. Half-Sleeve Hooded Sweatshirt to be completely forthcoming either.
New Orleans is going to be really good on offense. Drew Brees will probably be the biggest benefactor, but I’d grab a Saint somwhere if I could.
I like Brady Quinn to start in Cleveland. And Daunte Culpepper to start in Detroit. I think “Pep” gives the Lions a chance to win a game early and then give way to the rookie.
I’m not crazy about the Byron Leftwich era in Tampa Bay. I’d knock Kellen Winslow and Antonio Bryant down a few rungs. The same goes for the Bucs’ running backs, it has the makings of a three-man platoon.
Th Bengals need Andre Smith. I’m not sold on their offensive line just yet. And I was pretty underwhelmed by Pittsburgh’s O-Line as well.
Buffalo needs T.O. on offense. And a few other things as well.
T.J. Houshmanzadeh and Matt Hasselbeck seem to be developing some good chemistry up there in Seattle. I like Housh to have another strong season.
Aaron Rodgers has a whole lot of weapons in Green Bay.
Ahmad Bradshaw seems much more valuable than a normal handcuff in New York.
Matt Ryan and Phillip Rivers both seemed pretty solid in their preseason duel.
