Late Hits: AFC Week 2

Chris Johnson had a huge bounce-back from a quiet first game. Rest east CJ owners.

Once again, Matt Schaub and Andre Johnson have to air it out because of Houston’s defense. That’s a good thing from a fantasy perspective.

I wouldn’t worry too much about Pittsburgh’s rather low offensive output. That Chicago weather was dreadful.

Cincinnati’s offense is showing signs of life. Cedric Benson has been a bargain thus far.

Cleveland could be in for a long year. Braylon Edwards might be the only Brown worth playing.

San Diego and Baltimore ended up in a shootout. Their offenses are improved and their defenses are struggling.

Stay away from offensive players going up against the Jets. They have something brewing up there in NYC.

Tom Brady has yet to return to his old form. Wes Welker’s absence surely did not help though.

Buffalo did well on a short week. The Bills’ retooled offensive line has held up thus far.

Jacksonville has lost Troy Williamson and two games. Mike Sims-Walker might be worth a waiver-wire look, but it’s hard to expect much of anything from the Jags.

I think Oakland probably wishes it still had Jeff Garcia. JaMarcus Russell was dreadful.

There’s not much to like in that Kansas City offense either.  The AFC West could be a fantasy wasteland.

Brandon Stokely might be worth a look as a waiver-wire wide receiver. He seems to have some chemistry with Kyle Orton.
