Heading into the third weekend of the season, here’s some Weekend Pick(up)s to Click from Fantasy CPR. Each player is owned in less than 30 percent of Yahoo! Standard leagues.

Last Weekend’s Pick(up)s to Click:
-   Jaime Garcia STL | ND, 7 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 5 K, 2 BB
-   Ian Kennedy ARI  | ND, 5 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 7 K, 3 BB

Our first weekend of picks turned out pretty darn good to say the least. We didn’t get you any wins, but 12 innings with only three hits allowed isn’t too bad at all. It will be tough to duplicate our success the rest of the season, but we’ll give it a try. Here are your Pick(up)s to Click on the mound for this weekend.

Saturday StarterNick Blackburn (22%) Blackburn has often been an up and down fantasy commodity, but I’m willing to roll the dice with the righty this Saturday at Kansas City. Blackburn has given up five runs in each of his last two outings, but he does boast solid numbers at Kauffman Stadium through his three career starts by the waterfalls. Blackburn is 0-1 lifetime in Kansas City, but he does carry just a 2.63 ERA in those starts and a K/BB ratio of 15/4. Look for Blackburn to produce his best start of the young season against the Royals Saturday.

Sunday Starter - Tim Wakefield (6%) The Red Sox’s 43-year old knuckleballer has had a rough go of things in the early going this year, but he has motivation to improve this Sunday against the Orioles. With Daisuke Matsuzaka set to come off the DL this weekend, Sunday’s start will probably be Wakefield’s last start before moving to the bullpen. The veteran knows how to pitch and is always a decent play at Fenway where he will be making his 196th career start in Boston. If you are in a tight head-to-head battle and need a win, Wakefield’s matchup against the hapless Orioles doesn’t hurt either. Roll the dice with Wakefield this weekend and his knuckleball just might give your fantasy team the boost it needs.

Weekend Reading – Nathaniel Stoltz takes a look at a wide variety of prospects from around the minors this week over at Fansided’s MLB blog Call to the Pen. Check it out for insight on the Rangers’ recently-called up Justin Smoak and the Marlins’ super prospect Mike Stanton. (Call to the Pen)

Enjoy the weekend.
