Brett Favre’s consecutive games started streak ended at 297 tonight after Favre was listed as inactive due to a shoulder injury suffered last week. Only punter Jeff Feagles has appeared in more consecutive regular season games (352) than Favre.

To better put things in perspective, the Elias Sports Bureau came up with a few facts:

• 238 other quarterbacks have started at least one game since Favre made his first start on Sept. 27, 1992.

• There are two active players who were on NFL rosters when Favre made his first start: kickers John Kasay and Jason Hanson.

• Cal Ripken Jr.’s streak of 2,632 consecutive games played was at 1,727 when Favre made his first start.
