Editor’s Note: this is Tuesday’s injury update, which was great, like on Tuesday. Since this is now officially older than yesterday’s news check out our Wednesday edition or the Thursday edition for the very latest.
For all the breakdown of who’s trending up or down as well as who to target on the waiver wire check out our week 14 recap. As we head into week 15, there’s lots of news on the injury front… here’s the latest on this Tuesday night:
Adrian Peterson-Vikings-RB: All-day is expected to play week 15. Coach Leslie Frazier said he was “close” to playing Sunday, and should be all systems go for a week 15 shootout with the Saints.
Ben Roethlisbergre-Steelers-QB: Coach Mike Tomlin called him questionable headed into Pittsburgh’s Monday night matchup with the 49ers.
Greg Jennings-Packers-WR: Bad news-His knee sprain will probably keep him out the rest of the regular season. Good news-he’ll be back for the playoffs (not that his fantasy owners care that much).
Michael Turner-Falcons-RB:Didn’t practice but is fully expected to play Thursday Night vs. Jacksonville.
Frank Gore-49ers-RB: Coach Harbaugh admitted that he’s less than 100% and Kendall Hunter may get some added work this week, but against the Steelers neither makes a great play with Gore being a RB2 and Hunter a poor flex option.
Andre Johnson-WR-Texans: Status for Sunday still unknown. Check back for later updates.
Matt Hasselbeck-QB-Titans: He’s moving around well on his strained calf, but there are some indications that Jake Locker may get the start Sunday. If you own both or either stay tuned for further updates…
James Starks-Packers-RB: Status unclear for Sunday, he hopes to practice Wednesday.
Brandon Saine-Packer-RB: Saine could “probably” play this Sunday and will be worth a look if Starks can’t.
DeMarco Murray-Cowboys-RB:placed on IR ending his promising rookie season.
Nate Washington-Titans-WR: dealing with back spasms and ankle problems he still hung 130 and a TD on the Saints. This week he gets the Colts so he’s a good WR3 if he plays Sunday.
Kevin Kolb-Cardinals-QB: Had a concussion in last week’s game and had two “major” concussions earlier in the year so expect the Cards to keep him out and start John Skelton this week.
Christian Ponder-Vikings-QB: Ponder is fully expected to play and start Sunday against New Orleans.
Sam Bradford-Rams-QB: Bradford was “very sore” after the beating he took on his injured ankle last night, but with no alternative the Rams have little option but to put him back out there if he wants to play.
Mike Thomas-Jags-WR: held out of practice with a concussion and will probably not play Thursday night.
Javon Ringer-Titans-RB: will have surgery on his hand ending his season. He had little fantasy value anyway, but the new CJ2K handcuff is Jamie Harper.
Harry Douglas-Falcons-WR: Didn’t practice, but is expected to play Thursday against the Jags.
