Fantasy Football Injury Update-Week 15 Wednesday

Editor’s Note: This is yesterday’s post on injury news. For the very latest check out our Friday update for and the Thursday update.

As we head into what will for most leagues be another elimination weekend, you can’t afford to not know the status of your injured players. Taking a 0 at this point can end your season, but don’t leave points on your bench either… here’s the latest on the injuries coming out of Wednesday practices:

Adrian Peterson-Vikings-RB: He was officially listed as limited in practice, but is still on track to start against the Saints on Sunday.

Peyton Mannings-Colts-QB: He won’t play this year, but he was throwing passes at practice which is a good sign for the future for him. It’ll also make the NFL Draft one of the most interesting in years at the top.

Michael Vick-QB-Eagles: didn’t practice but it’s just precautionary and he should be ready to play Sunday.

Ben Roethlisberger-Steelers-QB: Big Ben is still in a walking boot and not practicing but it’s hard to bet against him playing after seeing his grit last week.

Michael Turner-Falcons-RB: missed practice but is listed as probable for Thursday night football.

Kyle Orton-Chiefs-QB: practiced and is ready to go against the Packers on Sunday. It boosts Dwayne Bowe and the rest of the receivers value even though Orton would be a reach even in 2 QB leagues.

Andre Johnson-Texans-WR: He was limited in practice and probably won’t push it to return this weekend. He hinted at a week 17 timetable, but stay tuned fom more news.

Peyton Hillis-Browns-RB: He participated in practice but will probably continue to see his role be a limited one.

Cedric Benson-Bengals-RB: sat out practice but should be good to go for Sunday.

Darren McFadden-Raiders-RB: still out.

Darius Moore-Raiders-WR: Moore returned to practice Wednesday and will try to be ready for Sunday. He’d make a good start if he’s at full strength so keep an eye on him the rest of the week.

Kevin Kolb-Cardinals-QB:Kolb took part in practice on a limited basis, but that means he’s past his tests so should be good to start on Sunday.

Beanie Wells-Cardinals-RB: limited in practice but should play on Sunday.

Kevin Smith-Lions-RB: Didn’t participate today, but hopes to go tomorrow. His status is still uncertain for this weekend.

Christian Ponder-Vikings-QB: Fully practicing this week.

Jimmy Graham-Saints-TE: He’s back in practice and should be ready to roll on Sunday against the Vikings.

Julio Jones-Falcons-WR: limited in practice but listed as probable and fully expected to play Thursday against the Jags.

Jeremy Maclin-Eagles-WR: He left last week’s game after his hammy tightened back up but did practice on a limited basis today. We’ll see how he is leading up to Sunday.

Nate Washington-Titans-WR: Still not practicing but is expected to play Sunday.

Matt Hasselbeck-Titans-QB: Who throws to Washington is the bigger question since Hass hasn’t practiced this week but the Coach says it’s a “wait-and-see” situation.

Jake Locker-Titans-QB: Locker was limited in practice but is expected to be ready if Hasselbeck can’t go on Sunday.

Matt Moore-Dolphins-QB: Moore was at practice today, but didn’t participate. Right now it looks like he’ll be a game-time decision.

Ahmad Bradshaw-Giants-RB: didn’t practice, but that’s expected and he should still be ready to play (providing he behaved himself) on Sunday.

Mario Manningham-Giants-WR: Came out of Sunday’s game healthy but is definitely the 3rd WR behind Cruz and Nicks.

Mark Ingram-Saints-RB: his turf toe still kept him out of Saints practice. He expects to be ready, but it’s not looking good yet. Check back for further updates.

Sam Bradford-Rams-QB: admitted his bad ankle is “going backwards” and I’d be surprised if he goes on Sunday.

Greg Olson-Panthers-TE: Sat out Wednesday practice, but he’s been doing that every week so expect to see him Sunday.

Joe McKnight-Jets-RB: fully practiced and should play.

Mike Thomas-Jags-WR: He’s out for Thursday night.

James Starks-Packers-RB: missed practice and status is uncertain for Sunday. Ryan Grant will make a nice play against the Chiefs.

Colt McCoy-Browns-QB: McCoy was sent home from practice so it looks like Seneca Wallace on Sunday.

Laurent Robinson-Cowboys-WR: Limited in practice but played well last week with his shoulder injury and will be ready to roll for Saturday Night Football against the Bucs.

Brandon Saine-Packers-RB: missed practice with his concussion and is probably not an option for fantasy this weekend.

Harry Douglas-Falcons-WR: listed as probable for Thursday nights game.

Chaz Schilens-Raiders-WR: limited on Wednesday should be good for Sunday.
