As the calendar winds down in December things are heating up on the gridiron both at the pro and college level. Their also heating up on the hardwood where it seems the lockout hasn’t hurt the popularity of the league (if you follow twitter anyways) and the buzz about the upcoming tip-off continues to build. Fantasy CPR has got all this covered in more in our coverage today as you’ll see…
Last night’s big football game was the Poinsettia Bowl between TCU and Louisiana Tech. As predicted here (we actually got one right this time), TCU did win and it was close. In fact they had to come back with 14 unanswered in the 4th quarter to win 31-24. Sophomore QB Casey Pachall led the way and set the school’s passing record for most completions, yards, and best percentage all previously held by Andy Dalton. Pachall threw a 42 yard TD pass to seal the win and send the Horned Frogs to the Big 12 next season as winners of their last 8 games.
Tonight’s big game is the MAACO Las Vegas Bowl featuring another high-powered offense as the Boise State Broncos mark the end of Kellen Moore’s career against the Sun Devils of Arizona State. We’ll run our preview for that an hour before kickoff so if you missed it the first time around, come back then. There is a Pro game on the schedule as well so we’ll have the first half of our NFL Week 16 fantasy football preview up at noon. This week you can find all your start/sit information, injury updates and picks against the spread in that two-part feature.
Later today on the site you can find our previews of next week’s Thursday bowl games the Alamo Bowl and the Champs Sports Bowl. Since I’ve been busy running all these previews down my Streak for the Cash picks are rapid fire, but you can find them after the jump. I’ve also got the big Bloggers-league NBA Fantasy Basketball draft tonight which I’ll break down for you tomorrow…. So just as the NFL winds down, the NBA comes back to save us from our boredom. It’s a great thing for all of us who love fantasy sports… For all the games you play keep comin’ back to Fantasy CPR, where fantasy sports lives 365.
STREAK FOR THE CASH PICKS
I’m on an L2 after yesterday and busy with other articles so here’s my picks rapid fire style.
11:00-Genclerbirligi-because I’m on an L2 and need a green.
3:00-Chelsea win or draw-because they’re playing much better and the Spurs aren’t.
8:05-Moore over 160 in the first half-because Arizona State can’t play defense.
11:00-Xavier-because they have Tu Holloway back and will be ready to bounce back from their first loss of the season and Long Beach State cannot rebound the ball and have lost 4 out of 6.
current streak: L2
record for the month: 31-15
