Fantasy Sports Daily Rounds-December 29

Last night featured 2 college bowl games, 5 NBA games, and the pro-bowl selections. The Bowl games were both relatively close and exciting. My picks went 1-1 and unfortunately for me the Western Michigan loss took points from my bowl entry as well as snapping my 7 game win streak in Streak for the Cash. (more on that later).

My NC State pick came through though in part due to David Amerson (who was featured in our picture in the preview). Amerson picked off 2 more passes one he returned for a TD that turned out to be the game-winning score. NC State is headed in a good direction for next year with Amerson and most of the defense coming back for another year.

In the NBA there were 3 yawners and 2 pretty compelling games. You can check out all the latest on today’s edition of the starting 5. The Celtics-Heat was the most exciting game of the night and while my C’s didn’t pull out the win, they did keep it close enough and shoot the ball well enough to win me my prop over on Streak for the Cash so I do get to start today with a W1… Picks after the jump.

Come back later to CPR for previews and picks of the Fight Hunger and the Liberty Bowl and we’ll also do our final review on the Military Bowl and the Holiday Bowl before kick off for those games. If pro football is more your thing, check out our playoff scenarios and come back tomorrow and Friday for our 2-part Week 17 preview… Have a great rest of the day and check out our Streak for the Cash Picks…

Streak for the Cash Picks

I got a little over agressive as we come to the end of the month and should’ve just waiting for the Hawks instead of trying to hit every window. O well, Boston’s NBA team got me turned back around and my W1 will grow with these picks:

4:35-Toledo: As explained here.

8:05-110 or more yards in the first half for Zach Maynard: Maynard has been playing very well lately and even against Stanford had a higher number than this in the first half. Anything can happen, but this looks like an easier pick on the board. Update: this prop has been changed to 130 yards or more. I obviously liked it better at 110, but I still think it’s the best early pick.

10:35-New York Knicks-Golden State will be without Steph Curry most likely so I’ll go with Melo and the Knicks to get to 2-0 by beatins GSW on the road. It’s not a lock, but it’s the pick I like best of the late options

current streak: W1

record this month: 47-22
