Streak for the Cash Picks-December 31

There’s plenty of great Sports action on the last day of 2011. As you run around and get ready for whatever plans you have tonight make sure you check out all the latest here on FantasyCPR…

We’ve got Bowl new bowl analysis and picks on the Capital One and Outback bowls as we continue our trek through the bowl season with our Bowl Mania entry. Yesterday a split 2-2 but got OU which I had ranked very high and lost only minor points. Today’s another full slate of games with the Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas, the Sun Bowl, Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl, the Liberty Bowl, and the Chick-fil-A bowl. For each game you can find my pick and analysis along with some pro prospects to meet before we get to draft season.

Speaking of the Pros, you can get all geared up for week 17 tomorrow with our game-by-game scenarios for the NFL Playoffs and Draft order for every team and our 2-part preview with picks and analysis for every game.

In ESPN’s Streak for the Cash, this month had been a good one for my entry overall as its been my month with the highest win totals. I got a couple nice streaks going, but couldn’t get more than 8. I lost last night with the Clippers so I start the day on an L1 and here’s how I’ll close out the month:

12:00-Northwestern: I picked Northwestern to pull the upset straight up, so I’ll definitely take them plus 10 points.

6:00-Indiana Pacers: Indiana has gotten off to a hot start to the year and has a team of athletes built for the sprint of this compressed season. The Pistons are at home here, but they’re not good enough to keep up with this young team’s pace (pun intended) and will struggle to deal with the size of Roy Hibbert. I’ll gladly take Indiana straight-up to win on the road.

10:00-Vancouver Canucks: Vancouver has been on a tear lately winning their last 3 games and going 15-3-1 in their last 19. The Kings meanwhile have struggled on offense all year and still can’t score consistently. That’s a major problem with the Western Conference Champion Canucks in. There’s always a chance that Jonathan Quick could just stand on his head and win the game single-handedly, but outside of that chance I think the Canucks roll in this one.

Current Streak: L1

Record this month: 52-28
