Streak for the Cash Picks-January 2

January didn’t get off to a good start for my streak entry yesterday. I won my first pick with Drew Brees and Cam Newton throwing for 6 or more TD’s but then I lost 2 in a row concluding with the Trailblazers falling to the Clippers in LA. Today’s one of the best college bowl days of the year, so I’ll be stickin’ to those games. It’ll be a full day of sports, so hopefully you’ve got the day off and can find a big-screen with some chips, pretzels, and a beverage of your choice to kick back and enjoy the games. Here’s how I’ll be picking my day in Streak for the Cash:

1:00-Ohio State: Of the TicketCity, Outback, and Capital One bowls, I feel most confident of the Buckeyes in the Gator Bowl since I feel the worst of all the teams on the field in this time slot is Florida. The real winner though in all these bowl games is us, the sports fans who get to soak up all the New Year’s goodness.

5:10-Oregon: The Rose Bowl will be the focus of the late afternoon and with these two potent offenses, it won’t disappoint. I’m taking Oregon and the blur offense over Wisconsin’s rushing-attack. It’ll be a Rose Bowl to remember, so tune in and watch these offenses go.

8:45-Oklahoma State: OSU came o-so-close to the Championship game and for the 3 reasons I listed in my breakdown, “their one loss seemed a little more flukey to me than Stanford’s, their schedule was tougher in my opinion, and if their defense can play like it did in their last game they can give Luck a very hard time.” I’ll be taking the Cowboys.
