Streak for the Cash Picks-January 10

In one of the wildest props ever, Chase Harnish got 176 yards after leaving due to injury (meaning the under would win) and NIU punting the ball away (meaning the under would win) not just once but twice, and then ultimately on one of the last plays of the half throwing a TD to make over the winning pick. I had the over after my streak got Tebowed and dropped to an L1. Now thanks to the insanity last night,  I start with a winning streak of one rolling into this Monday. Here’s how I’m planning on picking today:

My advice: sit back, relax, and enjoy what Coach Les Miles (R) called "Big Boy Football" in the National Championship as he and LSU take on Nick Saban (L) and Alabama for that nice crystal in between them. (Photo: David J. Phillip / AP)

3:15-Braga win/draw: Portuguese soccer is where I’ll start my day with this Liga pick. Not sure why this is up on the board since the odds are about as heavy in favor of Braga win/draw as I’ve ever seen on Streak. Braga is fourth in the table with a 7-4-2 record, and Beira Mar is in 8th with a 4-4-5 record. Beira Mar is just miserable at home with a 1-2-3 record. They’ve managed just 3 goals in their 7 home games. I’ll gladly take the draw and take Braga.

8:30-LSU: I’m settling in for the evening to enjoy this one. My full preview is here, and while I admit it’s not a lock since the Tide are such a good team as well, I’ll definitely be fully focused on that game and enjoying the battle that it’s sure to be between 2 big-time college football programs. Have a great sports night everybody and enjoy the games!

Check back tomorrow for the NBA Starting 5 to catch all the hoops you miss while you’re watching college football tonight. Later in the day we’ll have the wildcard week wrap-up and my picks for playoff fantasy challenge as well as my Streak picks.

Current streak: W1

Record for the month: 16-8
