Streak for the Cash Picks-January 20

Last night was a slower night in the NBA, but there was plenty of streak for the cash action. Between NCB, NHL, and international soccer, there was plenty to pick from. Unfortunately for me it was another up-and-down day for my streak entry. If you’re interested in following along, join our group.

I start today on an L1 and here’s how I’m planning on gettin’ the green going:

11:40-Troy Matteson win or tie on front 9:Always take the tie in 9 hole props. Both Matteson and Tringale shot a -2 on the front nine in round 1 (although it was on a different course). For my picks for the whole tourney check out this post, but for these 9 holes I’ll go with the former Yellow Jacket and take Troy Matteson.

7:00-Philadelphia 76ers: If I lose the morning I may try and throw a soccer pick in, but I’ll sit tight if I get the win early and wait for the 6ers and their 3rd in points per game and 2nd in points allowed. They’re 6-1 at home and Atlanta is coming off a tough game which they won at the very end over Portland. Philly lost their last game as well as they fell in OT to Denver while suffering their first home defeat. The Sixers are playing excellent team basketball, and I think they’ll have enough to overcome the Josh Smith/Joe Johnson show that is the Horford-less Hawks. Both these teams were in our power rankings which were part of the daily Starting 5 column.

10:30-Indiana Pacers: The Pacers have the far better record, and both teams have had an off day since their last game. The Warriors aren’t the same without Stephen Curry, and the Pacers have been playing well despite a 4th quarter meltdown against the Kings in their last game. I’ll roll with the road team in the nightcap to another full Friday night of hoops.

Current Streak: W1

overall in January: 34-27
