A board full of possibilities on this Sunday stuffed with sports. The AFC and NFC Conference championships are the highlights of what’s sure to be an action-packed afternoon and evening of basketball, hockey, and football.
Yesterday, I escaped 2 bad picks but lost my winning streak of 4 when the Kings couldn’t crack the Avs in LA. So I start today down 1 and ready to get my streak back rolling before the month runs out. It’s not time to be cautious unless you’re over 10 since the clock’s rapidly running out on January. Here’s how I’m looking to get mine headed back the right way:

The 49ers defense is outstanding and in the mud in San Francisco, I think they'll dominate. (Associated Press)
11:00-Arsenal win or draw: I’ll head to the EPL for my first pick of the day with Man U traveling to Arsenal. United has been far from their dominant self lately losing 2 of their last 3 including one on the road at Newcastle. Arsenal has had a solid start to the season but has lost their last 2 although both were on the road. At home the Gunners have a 7-2-1 and haven’t lost in their last 9 home games. They get the draw here and are the home team so I’ll go Gunners to get me in the green.
3:00-Penn State: I don’t claim to be a women’s college hoops expert, but PSU is the better team and they’re at home. They’re favored by double digits and should be able to handle Iowa. They did play well last week @ then #20 Purdue, but lost by 2. Penn State’s not a mortal lock, but they’re the best pick since I don’t feel comfortable giving 10 to the Ravens.
6:35-San Francisco 49ers: I’m hoping we get some more late action added to the board as the day goes on, but this is the best option as it stands now. I broke down this game, but IMO what it comes down to is Harbaugh, at home, and that defense get the Niners to the Super Bowl.
