February got off to a great start yesterday for many in the Streak for the Cash game on ESPN and today promises to be another very active and exciting board with all the soccer, basketball, and hockey games that fill up the board today.
Yesterday, although I started with a loss with Ghana, I was able to string Sutherland, Georgetown, and the Clippers together to get to a nice W3 heading into today. There’s some pretty good picks up there and here’s where I’m looking today:

Duke heads to Blacksburg to take on Virginia Tech in my early pick for tonight. Madatory Credit: Mark Dolejs-US PRESSWIRE
2:45-Chievo Verona win or draw: Chievo Verona is in 13th in Serie A coming into this game and have struggled a little on the road to this point in the season (1-3-6). This game though is against newcomers to Serie A Novara. Novara has won just 2 out of 20 games all season and are winless in their last 8. Verona is not great on the road and if they were giving the draw I’d stay away, but with the tie on Verona’s side it makes a much easier choice to start the day with.
7:00-Duke winning margin: Virginia Tech has played 3 close games in their last 3 against BYU, Maryland, and then-17th Virginia. They were able to pull out just one of those games against their in-state rival Virginia at Virginia. They have het to win at home in conference play and were blown out by then #8 UNC by 14. Duke’s been on a roll except for the FSU game and has been blowing people out even on the road. The Blue Devils have been winning on the road and Va Tech’s been struggling to win. It’s not a slam dunk, but hopefully it’ll get my star for my entry since it will be 5 if all goes according to plan.

Stephen Curry (center, facing) should have plenty to celebrate with shooting guard Monta Ellis (8) as they host a depleted Jazz team on Thursday night.. Mandatory Credit: Kyle Terada-US PRESSWIRE
10:30-Golden State Warriors: The Jazz played last night against a high-energy Clippers in Salt Lake City and now have a back-to-back tonight as they visit the Oracle to take on the Warriors. Golden State will need a solid effort from Stephen Curry and Monta Ellis if they expect to win this one. Not only are the Jazz possibly fatigued, they also have more than their share of injuries to deal with. Al Jefferson played but may not be ready for back-to-back action. Raja Bell is probably still sidelined and Earl Watson sprained his ankle during last night’s game. Devin Harris left momentarily with an injury but he returned and should be ready to play tonight. Still the Jazz are thin on guards which isn’t a good thing if you have to contain Ellis and Curry at home. Look for Mark Jackson and his team to get the win here as the Warriors defend their home-court against the in-coming Jazz.
