After taking the weekend off, we’re back to streaking here on FantasyCPR. It’s a good thing since there’s a full board tomorrow after just the single pick on Super Sunday. There’s NBA, NHL, College Basketball, and some soccer today and I roll in with a W7 streak. Here’s my picks of the day:
1:00-Karabukspor: I won’t be putting my W7 on the line in the Turkish Super League, but it’s actually a surprisingly solid pick Karabukspor is really good at home (6-2-3) and Samsunspor is really bad on the road (0-4-8 with only 5 goals scored). They’re both at the bottom of the Turkish table, but if you had the Pats yesterday or just need to get more green they would be my pick in the early window.
7:00-Louisville Cardinals: The Cardinals host the UCONN Huskies in a primetime, ESPN Big East game at 7:00. Louisville has been playing much better following a rough stretch and have won their last 4 overall and their last 3 at home. They’ve only lost twice at home all year: once to Notre Dame in double OT, and once to then-#12 Georgetown. UCONN will be without Jim Calhoun due to his extended medical leave of absence and will be looking to string together 2 wins after losing 4 in a row. They beat Seton Hall at home on Saturday, but prior to that victory had not won since January 14th. They looked good against the Hall but going into the KFC Yum! Center and beating the Cardinals will be a tough task. I’ll be looking for green #8 in this one.
10:00-Anaheim Ducks: The Ducks host the Flames in my late pick. The Flames haven’t won in Anaheim since 2006 and not since’04 in the regular season. Calgary’s goalie Miikka Kiprusoff is 0-5-2 at the Honda Center. Anaheim has the worse record, but at home I think they can take care of the Flames. If the Cardinals win, I won’t pick in this matchup; but if I need a late pick I’d rather Anaheim at home than OKC in the Rose Garden where the Blazers can be tough to beat.
Current Streak: W7
Record for the Month: 7-1
