February has been a great month for my Streak Picks. Yesterday my picks were 3-3, but I only had the confidence to jump in with one of them. Today we’ve got another full board ahead of us with plenty of hoops, soccer, and some hockey to keep us busy. I’m up to a winning streak of 8 so I’ve still got to be careful, but here’s what I like on today’s board:
2:45-Southampton win: Southampton is near the top of the Championship League table (2nd division) and is pertty good at home (11-2-2 in league play). Millwall is towards the bottom of the table and have a 2-3-9 road record. I’m feeling good about this one and will put my W8 on it to start off the day in the green (I hope).

7:05-Kentucky by double digits: Kentucky is really good at home (48 wins in a row would seem to indicate #sarcasm). UK has been dominant in conference play winning 7 of their 9 conference games by double digits. Florida would have to go off from outside to keep this close with their size disadvantage, and so far the Gators have struggled (2-4) on the road with wins only at South Carolina and Ole Miss. They’ve lost at Syracuse, OSU, Rutgers, and Tennessee and this game would seem to stack up as even more difficult than those games. I think Kentucky will see this as an opportunity to further establish themselves on a national level and trounce the Gators at Rupp Arena.

Ohio State Buckeyes guard William Buford (44) knocks Michigan Wolverines guard Tim Hardaway Jr. (10) to the ground as Buckeyes forward Jared Sullinger (0) watches at Value City Arena. Ohio State won the game 64-49. Mandatory Credit: Greg Bartram-US PRESSWIRE
9:05-Ohio State by 15 or more: OKC is the later pick but they’re on the road on the second game of a back-to-back. They maybe should’ve lost last night and did have to play OT, so I’ll stay away from picking them or Golden State. Instead, I’ll take the Buckeyes over Purdue in the very difficult environs of the Value City Arena in Columbus. The Buckeyes have won each of their last 14 games at home by 15 or more including victories over Michigan (then 22), Indiana (8), and Duke (4). The only game that hasn’t been by that margin was Florida who they beat by 7 in their 2nd game of the year. Purdue is 5-5 in Big 10 play and has lost 3 of 4. If all goes well, this pick will be to get my streak to 11, and I’m confident in all 3 of these so I’ll be active all day long.
Have a great day pickin’ everybody, and good luck!
