Just after this morning’s injury ward was posted, news broke that Kobe’s injury may be more serious than originally thought. We already know that he has a nasal fracture (making for some disturbing TV with Marv Albert voiceover while some medical staff member shoved an amazing amount of cotton to an amazing depth in Kobe’s nostril). News this morning is that that fracture is accompanied by a mild concussion.

Keeping Kobe off the court Wednesday against the Wolves is probably going to be impossible. He was reportedly having some bad headaches after the game but did play until the end even riding LeBron after the East jacked up their final play. It was LeBron’s teammate, last night and during the season, Dwyane Wade who delivered the blow to the head that did the damage. At this point, it still seems unlikely that this injury costs Kobe or his fantasy owners and games, but make sure you monitor the situation closely in you’re a Bryant owner heading into the 2nd half of the season.
