Streak for the Cash Picks-April 2

The Streak for the Cash month got off to a good start, but getting involved in women’s basketball was my downfall last night. Tonight’s the big NCAA men’s championship game with all the U’s and K’s we could ask for. I think KU has a chance but UK has been solid this whole tournament and are the clear favorites. In fact, Streak PTBs have seen fit to make it a prop pick not a straight up pick… but more on that in a minute.

I started out 2 for 2 yesterday, but lost the 2 ladies picks and fell to 2-2. At the bottom of the articles throughout the month you’ll be able to find my overall record, my streak, and my record in games with a confidence meter rating higher than 5.

3:00-Blackburn to win/draw/lose by 1: Man U is the big name, but Blackburn at home is no slouch. Man U is clearly the better team and leads the EPL right now, but with home field, the goal, and the draw I’m going with the Rovers. The Reds have only won 5 of 15 on the road by 2 and Blackburn has only lost by 2 or more 2 times this season. Confidence Meter: 4 (out of 10)

7:05-John Wall: Wall is the main ball-handler for Washington. Gooden is the 4th option with Ellis, Jennings, and Ilyasova in the Bucks offense. The Wizards D isn’t good by any means, but they usually give up points to guards, not bigs. Wall will have Jennings/Ellis on him and should be able to put points on the board. I’ll go up to a 6 on the Confidence meter on this one.

Mar 31, 2012; New Orleans, LA, USA; Kentucky Wildcats forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (14) dunks as Louisville Cardinals center Gorgui Dieng (10) and forward Chane Behanan (24) look on during the second half in the semifinals of the 2012 NCAA men

9:23-Any other results than Kentucky by 3-9 points: UK could easily run away with this and I think it could be a 15-20 point victory for the Wildcats. Getting the shocker (KU win) and the super close game (2 or less) is just gravy. The spread currently sits at 6.5 for UK and while I’d take them to cover, I’m not saying the Jayhawks have no chance. Either way, it should be an entertaining game and fairly high-scoring (for the props I’d lean Robinson, over). Confidence Meter-5
