Streak for the Cash Picks-April 3

The Wildcats won the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship last night, but the Baylor Lady Bears are trying to pull of an undefeated season tonight as they face the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. Baylor’s cruised so far in the tournament to the point that the prop pick is double-digits for Baylor. I could see it going either way (at the prop pick) so I’ll be going with some of the other 8 picks on the board. If I had to pick I’d go with Notre Dame to keep it close, but I have more confidence in these picks:

April 10, 2011; Indianapolis, IN, USA; New York Knicks small forward Carmelo Anthony (7) goes up against Indiana Pacers forward Danny Granger (33) at Conseco Fieldhouse. Mandatory credit: Michael Hickey-US PRESSWIRE

2:45-AC Milan win/draw/lose by 1: It’s the 2nd half of the UEFA quarters and the 2 teams played to a 0-0 draw in Milan. I can’t convince myself that Barca will win by 2 even though they usually play well at Camp Nou. I think this one will come right down to the wire and be a hard-fought, gritty, low-scoring game. I wouldn’t pick Milan to win, but getting the goal I’d go with them if I was in the red. Confidence Meter-3 (out of 10)

7:00-Carmelo Anthony: In a first half scoring prop, I’ll take ‘Melo over Danny Granger as the Knicks visit Indianapolis to face the Pacers. ‘Melo is the main scorer on the Knicks especially with Amare and Jeremy Lin out. He’s really New York’s only option. On the other hand, Granger and the Pacers usually have a more balanced attack. I’d take the Pacers to win the game, but Carmelo to win this prop. It could go either way if one heats up, but it’s about the only pick on the board I even like today, so I can only get the Confidence Meter to 6.5.

10:05-Sacramento Kings: I do not like picking the Kings here, but I like the Suns chances even less. The Suns beat New Orleans on Sunday but had lost the 2 games before that. The Kings meanwhile are playing better at home winning 2 of their last 3 and knocked off the Kings last night. I’m not sure that the Suns have the athleticism to contain/stop Tyreke Evans, Isaiah Thomas, and DeMarcus Cousins. Marcus Thornton, the Kings leading scorer, left last night’s game and his status is unknown at this point for tonight. I don’t feel good about it, but I’ll take the Kings if I’m in the red. Confidence Meter: 2

Yesterday: 1-2

Current Streak: W2 (I went with the first-half prop and won after taking the John Wall prop)

All Picks for the month: 3-4

Confidence +5 picks for the month: 3-0
