Streak for the Cash Picks-April 6

Hopefully yesterday’s prop called “Super Thursday” was kind to you and you were able to navigate your entry to some green. Today’s board’s a full one too as there are 17 matchups with a bunch of golf and baseball props as well as some straight up picks. Since the baseball season is so long, anybody can beat anybody on a given day, so there’s definitely risk involved there and (as yesterday reminded up) prop picks are set up by pickers to get trapped on the wrong the wrong side.

Yesterday, I hap my streak to 4 twice before I got stuck in the never-ending Blue Jays-Indians game and missed a bunch of opportunities. I’ll start today on a W3 and here’s the picks I like the most:

March 17, 2012; Jupiter, FL, USA; Minnesota Twins starting pitcher Carl Pavano (48) throws in the first inning against the Miami Marlins during a spring training game at Roger Dean Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Steve Mitchell-US PRESSWIRE

11:30-Newcastle United: Newcastle has won their last 3 and Swansea have lost their last 2. The Magpies are 6th in the EPL table while Swansea is 11th. They played to a 0-0 tie earlier this season, but with Newcastle United’s current form and the fact that they’re getting the draw makes me think they’re the pick and I’ll say Confidence Level: 6

3:05-Minnesota Twins: Carl Pavano pitched surprisingly well last year, and the Twins made a number of seemingly solid moves to upgrade their offense. When Jake Arrieta is your opening day starter, your pitching may in trouble. I’ll go Twins but since the game is at Camden Yards, I’ll go Confidence Meter 3.5

March 17, 2012; Tempe, AZ, USA; Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Jered Weaver (36) delivers a pitch during the first inning against the Milwaukee Brewers at Tempe Diablo Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Kyle Terada-US PRESSWIRE

10:05-Oakland Athletics: Good to see the A’s still do get to have a home opener after splitting the first 2 games of this series played in Tokyo. In one of those games, Brandon McCarthy showed that he’s ready for a breakout campaign. He’ll take the hill again and this time face off against Jason Vargas. It’s no sure thing,b ut I think this game goes Oakland’s way. I’d give them an advantage (slight) in hitting; I like their starter more; and they’re at home. Confidence Level: 3 1/2

10:45-No Royols HR: It all depends on my streak and where I am if I take the A’s or wait vor this one. This one-sided homer prop (only Royals HR count)is a unique way to end the day. The Royals will probably be up against Jered Weaver for the first inning or 2 of this prop, but the Angels ‘pen is good to. It could go either way but I do think this is one worth going after- Confidence Meter-5

Current Streak: W3

Record for the month: 5-8

Picks with Confidence +5: 5-1
