Today, Streak for the Cash players won’t have all the Masters props but there’s still 12 matchups on the board with plenty of baseball, some early soccer, and later NBA action.
Yesterday had mixed results for me as I shanked some of my picks life Phil Mickelson’s tee shot on 4, but pulled back into a green finish at the end of the day. Here’s the picks I like the most today:
1:05-No Hamels Win: Lots can go wrong when picking a starting pitcher to get the win. Hamels is good at home historically, and could get the win here to be sure. However, the Phillies offense has been struggling and I like the Marlins new roster makeup and Anibal Sanchez as a nice sleeper pick in Fantasy Baseball. In a straight-up pick, I’d feel like it’s a coin-flip, but with the added benefit of Hamels needing to win I’ll get this up to a 6 on the Confidence Meter.
3:00-Chelsea win: Chelsea is playing very well right now. Even with their recent frenetic schedule, I can’t pick against them even giving the draw. Confidence Meter: 4
7:05-Milwaukee Brewers: Shaun Marcum gets his first start of the season for the Brewers and he’s facing the Cubs in Wrigley. The Brewers lineup is solid and I’d favor Marcum over Volstad making his first start for Chicago. Confidence Meter-5
9:05-Phoenix Suns: The Suns are hot having won 4 of 5 as they desperately try to get into the playoffs. The Wolves are fading fast since losing Ricky Rubio and will be without his backcourt mate Luke Ridnour for this one as well. The road for Phoenix gets tough after this one with 3 games in 4 nights @ playoff opponents. Steve Nash has clicked with Shannon Brown and they’ve continued to win despite the loss of Grant Hill. They’re coming off a big win against the Lakers in LA, and I think they’ll get the win here. Confidence Meter: 7
Current Streak: W1
Overall Record for the month: 10-16
Picks with Confidence +5: 7-6
