As the season winds down, several key players for their team and their fantasy teams continue to battle injuries.
There were several important injury developments on Monday that changed some of what was mentioned in yesterday morning’s injury ward.
Knowing who’s in and who’s out can make the difference in the fantasy basketball playoffs so here’s the latest.
Kobe Bryant-LAL: Kobe sat out his 2nd game in a row last night although he is supposedly improving. He is a game-time call for Wednesday’s Lakers game against the Spurs.
Dwight Howard-Orl: Howard was out last night and not expected to play tonight (although there is a chance). He’s dealing with a bad back and could get 5 days of rest if he sits tonight, so expect Glen Davis and Ryan Anderson to cover the big-men duties tonight against the Wizards.
Rodney Stuckey-Det:Stuckey banged his knee and left Monday’s game early. It’s unclear as of now whether he’ll miss time or not. Check back before the Pistons next game Thursday at Charlotte.
Andrea Bargnani-Tor: He could be out for the rest of the year after his 3rd left calf injury of the season. Nothing is official yet (he’s day-to-day) but Coach Dwane Casey seemed to indicate we may have seen the last of the Italian for the year.
Kevin Martin-Hou: Martin’s return date is still a ways away. Feel free to continue to use Courtney Lee.
Jarrett Jack-NO: Jack is out the rest of the year after being diagnosed with a stress fracture in his foot. Greivis Vasquez will step in and should produce over the rest of the season.
Roy Hibbert-Ind: Hibbert was helped from the floor last night after rolling an ankle but returned to finish the game. Stay tuend for further updates before Wednesday’s game.
Eric Gordon-NO: Gordon sat out last night’s game against LA. He’s day-to-day moving forward, and hopefully for his fantasy owners sake he can return soon.
Zach Randolph-Mem: Randolph was involved in a car accident on Monday but played just fine last night and had a double-double off the Grizz bench.
Nene-Was: Hopeful to return later this week.
Wilson Chandler-Den: He’s day to day with a left hip strain, but Chandler has no clearly defined role with Danilo Gallinari back.
Tony Allen-Mem: Allen missed his 3rd game with a mouth laceration. Wait until you’re sure he’ll be back before adding him. He’s tough to hold on to even in deep leagues as he continues to miss time.
Mo Williams-LAC: Williams was supposed to return Saturday and yesterday but hasn’t. He’s now targeting Thursday, but wait until you’re sure he’s active before putting him in your active lineup.
Mickael Pietrus-Bos: Still a couple weeks away so it’s too late to help your fantasy team.
