There’s 14 matchups for Streakers as we start a new week in ESPN’s Streak for the Cash game. There’s soccer this afternoon and then plenty of MLB and NHL Playoff action tonight. There are 6 games in the NBA, but none of them make an appearance on the board for today.
Yesterday I closed with a win with the Hornets and opened with a win with the Rangers on a controversial bunt that should’ve been foul. Unfortunately I sandwiched my greens around a red with the Red Bulls so I’m only on a W1.
3:00-Osasuna win or draw: Osasuna has taken a win or draw in 14 of their 17 home games while Malaga struggles to win on the road. Getting the draw with a home team is always a good pick in soccer unless there’s a major talent disparity. There’s not here, so I think it’s a pretty easy pick. Confidence Level: 5
7:11-No run Scored in 1st: These offenses are both solid and obviously can score, but with CC Sabathia and Derek Holland on the mound, but much more likely outcome is no run scored. Confidence Level: 6 1/2
8:10-Boston Red Sox: As bad as the Red Sox have been, I think they’ll start to turn things around agains the Twins on the road. Jason Marquis has been hammered so far this year (7.20 ERA) and the Sox are familiar with the Twins from their multiple meetings in spring training. The only scary thing here is that no lead is safe with that bullpen although they will have Daniel Bard available. Confidence level: 2 Disclaimer-I’m a big Red Sox fan so this is in no way an unbiased pick.
Current Streak: W1
Overall Record for the month: 35-37
Picks with Confidence +5: 19-14
