Streak for the Cash Picks, April 30

It’s closing time around ESPN Streak for the Cash as April winds to a close. For new players, remember that your streak is reset each month and pick aggressively accordingly. The Streak powers have given us 13 matchups for the day, and I think there’s definitely green to be had if you know where to look.

Yesterday, I went 3-2 and lost my Green with (of all teams) the Celtics. Fortunately the Clippers restored my streak back into the green by storming back to beat the Grizz. So I’m on a W1 and am planning on these picks.

3:00-Manchester United win or draw: The Manchester Derby will be absolutely insane with all its EPL title implications. Man U has been there, is in the drivers seat, and is getting the draw.   They won the last match between these two clubs 3-2 in January and I’ll take them to at least get a tie in the Derby and secure their EPL title this year. Confidence Meter: 3 (out of 10)

7:10-Miami Heat by double-digits: With the loss of Iman Shumpert, an already devastated by injuries Knicks team will now have to adjust and shake up their rotation yet again. The Heat looked great in the first game, and I think they’ll cruise past Melo and the Knicks by double digits. I’m glad for the Knicks that they made the playoffs and that they genuinely appear to be headed in the right direction. In those one though, I don’t see them keeping it cose. Confidence Meter: 6

Apr 28, 2012; Oklahoma City, OK, USA; Oklahoma City Thunder guard James Harden (13) drives to the basket against Dallas Mavericks shooting guard Jason Terry (31) during the fourth quarter in game one of the Western Conference quarterfinals of the 2012 NBA Playoffs at the Chesapeake Energy Arena. 9:45-Mavs 3-pointers or Tie: While I think the Thunder win this series and ultimately win the NBA Finals, I do think they will have a close game on their hands again today against the defending champs. My guess is OKC wins by 6 or less and the Mavs will be able to hit the threes to win this prop. Confidence Meter: 4

Current Streak: W1

Overall Record for the month: 58-53

Picks with Confidence +5: 23-17
