Streak for the Cash Picks-May 4

16 picks await ESPN Streakers on this Friday. There’s PGA golf this morning and early afternoon with some English scooer and even the 138th Kentucky Oaks horse race. Later tonight, things get serious with NBA playoff props and picks, picks from the NHL playoffs, and some MLB action thrown in for good measure. There’s some nice picks out there today to be sure; it’s just a matter of finding the rights ones.

My picks did me solid yesterday as the Marlins, Heat, and Dirk Nowitzki were all green picks for me. I’m up to a W4 personally looking for the early star by getting to number 5 and beyond with these picks:

2:45-Birmingham win or Draw: This match if the first leg of the English Championship League playoffs. The winner of these playoffs will earn their  way into the EPL. Birmingham has won 3 of 4 versus Blackpool and the other match was a draw. Getting the draw, I think the Blues get the green to start the day. Confidence Meter: 4 (out of 10)

7:41-Joe Johnson more points in the 1st half or tie: Rajon Rondo will return which means Paul Pierce won’t have to play like Kobe Bryant, taking all his team’s shots. Joe Johnson, on the other hand, may be the Hawks only option scoring since Josh Smith may not play. Either way, Johnson is the pick that makes sense to me here especially getting the tie and in just the first half, when Pierce has a tendency to be a little less aggressive. Confidence Meter: 5

10:10-Seattle Mariners: The Twins have had trouble scoring-0 runs in their last 2 games-and face Jason Vargas who’s very good at Safeco. The Mariners are at home, have the better starter on the mound, and actually have a lineup that’s hitting better too. Confidence Meter: 6

May 1, 2012; Los Angeles, CA, USA; Los Angeles Lakers center Andrew Bynum (17) and shooting guard Kobe Bryant (24) celebrate after Bynum scores and draws a foul against the Denver Nuggets during the second half of game two of the Western Conference quarterfinals of the 2012 NBA Playoffs at Staples Center. 10:46-27 or more: Bynum and Kobe are dominating this whole series and should be able to score against the high-flying Nuggets at home. This game will be a high-scoring one, and Bynum and Kobe are the 2 Lakers doing the scoring. Confidence Meter: 5

Current Streak: W4
