There’s 16 picks to help us get in the green on ESPN’s Streak for the Cash to start out the week. International soccer kicks things off and then there’s a bunch of baseball picks, a pivotal NHL game 5 in the Big Apple, and some hoops playoffs as well. So far this month my picks have been stuck in neutral, and I’m planning to rev it up with these 3 picks today:
10:45-PAOK Solonika: Normally I stay away from early soccer, but I’ll hit the Greek Super League for this one. Solonika is getting the draw which makes them the heavy favorite from their 2nd spot in the Super League table as they play the 3rd place Atromitos squad. Confidence Meter: 4
7:05-Texas Rangers: The O’s just swept my Red Sox, but they went through their bullpen last night winning in 17 innings. the Rangers send Matt Harrison to the mound looking to rebound after getting rocked in Toronto. Harrison is 3-0 with a 4.68 ERA against Baltimore lifetime. He’ll be opposed by Brian Matusz who won his last start against the Yankees snapping a 14 start winless streak. Josh Hamilton and Nelson Cruz typically mash against Baltimore so take the Rangers to beat the Buck truck. Confidence Meter: 6
10:30-Memphis Grizzlies: Even with the Clippers game three win, this series feels far from over. The Grizzlies should win if they play together and put together a solid 48 minutes. I really think this goes back to Memphis tied 2-2 and goes the distance to a game 7.
Current Streak: L1
Overall Record for the month: 12-11
Picks with Confidence +5: 4-4
