Fantasy Baseball Sleeper Central-Waiver Wire Work-June 17

It was another great Saturday of baseball yesterday as interleague play continued outside of Citi Field where the Reds and Mets continued their NL series. There were the usual amount of unsung, and more importantly unowned, contributors in the world of fantasy baseball. Let’s take a look at our daily lineup (archive) as we make our last moves before the start of another week.

Sleeper Starting Lineup

C- Jarrod Saltalamacchia – Bos: (44.3%) Salty went 2-3 with a home run and a double batting from the cleanup spot for the first time in his career. He has 12 home runs, 32 RBI, and has continued his breakout campaign behind the plate for the Sox.

1B- Casey McGehee – Pit: (0.4%) 2-4 with a two runs, 4 RBI, and a home run. He is heating it up and getting regular time at first. In his last five games he has 9 hits, two home runs, and six RBI. If you need a hot ba at 1B, McGehee or Brandon Moss fit the bill.

SS- Cliff Pennington – Oak: (1.2%) 1-2 with two walks and two runs scored while stealing his 11th base of the year. He’s scored seven runs in his last eight games and stolen four in his last nine.

OF- Jordan Schafer – Hou: (23.3%) 3-4 with a double, RBI, and stolen base. He’s hitting .251 with 16 steals on the season with 29 runs scored and 16 RBI in 55 games and 195 at-bats.

OF- Rajai Davis – Tor: (7.1%) 2-5 with a run, RBI, and stolen base. He has 16 steals on the year and six in the last nine games.

OF- Scott Podsednik – Bos: (2.5%) 2-4 with an RBI. He’s now hitting .390 with eight runs and seven RBI in 18 games.

AL Starting Pitcher- Ervin Santana – Stl: (38.3%) one hit complete game against the D-Backs while walking one and striking out five.
