Sunday has as extra game for 16 total matchups across Major League Baseball as everyone is in action and the Rays-Phils playing two. One of the spot starter grabs that I like is in game two. The other three options are solid pitchers in good matchups if you need help to close out the week.

The Pickups
Garrett Richards-LAA: (16.6%) The Angels rookie has pitched very well in his first three starts the season allowing just two total earned runs over 20 innings. He went eight innings his last time out shutting out the D-Backs to earn his second win. He has yet to get knocked around in the Bigs and closes out the all-LA series as the Angels host the Dodgers at 3:35 Sunday afternoon.
Mike Leake – Cin: (1.9%) Leake has recovered from a rough beginning of the season ans has been in good form as of late. He lasted seven innings his last time out while holding the Indians to just a run on six hits and picking up four strikeouts. Leake got moved forward a day in the rotation as he pitches in place of Mat Latos against the visiting Twins and fellow spot-starter favorite Scott Diamond.

Alex Cobb – TB: (2.1%) Alex Cobb is coming off his best start of the year by far as he shut down the Marlins for seven innings while allowing just two hits and striking out 10. He enters the game with a 3-3 record and a 3.82 ERA with a 1.17 WHIP and 32 strikeouts in 37.2 innings pitched. He’s been moved back to Sunday after a rain-out. He’ll pitch game two and face off with Cliff Lee of Philadelphia.
Jose Quintana – ChW: (5.3%) The White Sox couldn’t have asked for much more than this when John Danks went down with an injury. Quintana has made five starts since his MLB debut May 7, with 20 strikeouts in 35.1 innings, a 1.53 ERA, and an exceptional 1.02 WHIP. Of all his starts, his last one was probably his most impressive going eight innings allowing five hits and no runs while striking out six and walking none against the Dodgers. Quintana and the Sox finish out their series with the visiting Brewers on Sunday afternoon.
