Streak for the Cash Picks, July 2

It was a strong opening day in July on Beat the Streak and today looks to be another good day for picking. There’s 11 matchups on the board with some props from Monday Night Baseball, the usual Tour de France early pick, ans several stright-up baseball picks.

Yesterday, my picks did pretty well. I missed the soccer prop, but hit on all three of my other picks and gave you two out of three of the Sunday Night Baseball props as a bonus. Here’s hopin I can find more green and get the early star this month (stars handed out a W5)

Picks for Today, July 2

6:30-Mark Cavendish: Again I’m going with the favorite in the cylcing. Cavendish is a Streak legend for beating this prop with regularity over the years. He’s the ultimate sprinter and the second stage is set up for him to win. He has changed teams since last year and anytime it’s one-on-the-field it’s no lock so I’ll go with a Confidence Meter: 3 (out of 1o)

12:24-Djokovic in three sets: I’m not a big-time tennis follower but the Djoker is money in the early rounds and should be able to avoid a Rafa-like exit by rolling over Troicki in straight sets. The two men have faced off 12 times and Djokovic has won 11, seven times in straight sets. Confidence Meter: 3

7:05-LA Angels: The Angels have worked their way back into the AL West discussion and are now leading the Wild Card. With Jered Weaver on the mound, the Angels are the pick of the day even in Cleveland where the Indians have been good as of late. Confidence Meter: 7

10:10-Cincinnati Reds: I like Homer Bailey as a spot start and the Dodgers are just woeful offensively lately. LA broke out with eight runs last night but before that had only scored five during a seven game losing streak. The Reds split a series with the hot-pitching Giants and will bring their bats to Dodger Stadium to face Chad Billingsley and the Dodgers. Confidence Meter: 5
