Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Ideas-Sleeper Central- July 7

With the All-Star break just a couple days away, Major League Baseball had a full slate of games and all 15 were able to dodge the rain and get in full games. Oakland and Seattle even played two extra innings before the A’s walked off in style.

We’re reformatting sleeper central a little as we head into the second half and some intense fantasy football coverage in the next few weeks. Moving forward the analysis will be focused on one player, our “sleeper awakening” while the lineup will be included but just with their ownership and pertinent stats. If you have an idea or reaction to the change, just let us know via email ([email protected]) or in the comment section.

Sleeper Awakening

Tyler Colvin – OF/1B – Colorado Rockies: Colvin has been on a power tear with five home runs in his last five games all of which have been away from the homer-happy confines of Coors Field. In just 180 at-bats, he’s connected on 13 home runs with 40 RBI with a .311 batting average and a .983 OPS. He’s owned in only 16.8% of leagues even after last night’s multiple home run game. He’s a great pickup for the second half as he emerges as a powerful OF/1B bat. He has great numbers at home, as expected, but he’s picked it up on the road on this road trip becoming a main part of the Rockies (and his fantasy owners) lineups.
