There’s just a few days left before the August reset on Streak for the Cash. It’s time to push to the finish and get whatever target is left for you this month. Today’s board is filled with 15 matchups from the Olympics, MLB, the PGA Tour, and the Farmer’s Classic tennis tournament in LA.
I’m at a W1 after winning with the A’s last night as part of my 3-2 overall day yesterday. You can see my picks record from the month at the bottom of the page. Here’s the picks for today:
Sunday July 29 picks
9:30- USA by 25+: The line on the game is 26.5. I think the US will come out and look to make an early statement of their dominance. They crushed Spain in their last game and should be able to take care of Tony Parker and the French easily. Confidence Meter: 5

2:10- Washington Nationals: The Nats look to take three of four from the slumping Brewers. In this one, they’ll send Gio Gonzalez against Mark Rogers who returns to the Majors to take the place of the traded Zach Greinke. Gio has been lights out in three of his last four starts. Last time out, he allowed just two hits and an unearned run while getting his 13th win. He’ll look to become the first 14 game-winner in the NL and I think he catches the imploding Brewers at the right time. Confidence Meter: 7
4:10- Sam Querrey wins 2-0: Querrey won two of these tournaments before missing last year with an injury. He’ll go against Lithuanian Ricardas Berankis who was a qualifier for the tournament. In one of the more unique factors (but not necessarily a deciding one) Querrey has a huge height advantage coming in at six feet six inches while Berankis is only five feet eight inches. It’ll be Querrey’s big serve that will get him the straight set win here I think. Confidence Meter: 4
7:05- Texas Rangers: In a potential playoff showdown, the Rangers send Scott Feldman to the hill against Gavin Floyd and the Chicago White Sox. I can’t see the Rangers getting swept at home even by the White Sox. Feldman has been solid going 4-0 in his last five appearances (four starts) with a 3.81 ERA. Floyd got crushed earlier this year in Arlington and I think the Rangers salvage a win in their series tonight. Confidence Meter: 5

July 28, 2012; Bronx, NY, USA; Boston Red Sox designated hitter Pedro Ciriaco (77) triples to center against the New York Yankees during the ninth inning at Yankee Stadium. Red Sox won 8-6. Mandatory Credit: Debby Wong-US PRESSWIRE
8:08- Boston Red Sox: With my Red Sox season on the line I’m going irrational and picking Felix Doubront to salvage the season for us. Adrian and company are putting up runs and hammered Kuroda earlier this month so maybe we’ve got a shot… Confidence Meter: 2
