Streak for the Cash Picks, August 11

Saturday is another full Streak for the Cash day with a full slate of picks form the Olympics to the PGA Championship, Major League Baseball and even Major League Soccer before finishing up with UFC 150 for the late picks.

Yesterday, my picks went 4-1 and I rode my two most confident picks with my personal entry to get up to a W3. I’m pressed for time today so the breakdowns will be brief, but here’s the picks I like the most today:

Picks for 8/11

10:00- Brazil: Brazil comes in as the heavy favorites over Mexico. The Brazilians cruised past S. Korea in the semi’s 3-0. Mexico is no pushover, but Brazil should take care of them 3-1. Korea and Mexico played to a draw so Brazil should be golden again in London. Confidence Meter: 7

4:00- Jamaica beats or ties the World Record: The only way they don’t is if they aren’t pushed at all by any other team. They definitely have the speed to shatter the record. Confidence Meter: 4

4:00- US wins by 20+ points: The American women have dominated the basketball courts again this Olympics with 13 being their closest margin of victory which was in their last game against Australia. They’ll look to close out their run with their best game and should take it to the French. Confidence Meter: 5

8:05- Detroit Tigers: Justins Verlander dominated the Yankees his last time out and faces the Rangers and Derek Holland on the road in Texas. Holland has been incredibly hittable in his last four starts with a 1-2 record and a 7.00 ERA. It seems like a mismatch as long as Verlander can continue his recent run of success. Confidence Meter: 8

11:55- Ben Henderson: Henderson is the huge favorite here and getting this as a head-to-head matchup is a nice gift to end the day in the green. I don’t watch enough MMA to be absolutely sure, but if my streak is W3 or less I’ll go Henderson. Confidence Meter: 5
