There’s 12 picks on the Streak for the Cash board on this Monday morning. Some Finnish Veikkausliiga soccer gets things rolling at 11:30 AM ET and then there’s the final EPL game of the opening weekend and Manchester United visits Everton. Tonight there’s five straight-up Major League Baseball picks and some fake football Monday Night Football picks. I’ll continue to stay away from the NFL preseason, but there are three picks that I like.
Yesterday my picks were 3-2-1 with the PGA pick cancelled as they moved to a Monday finish at the Wyndham. Today I’m hoping to build on my two-game winning streak with these picks:
Picks for 8/20
3:00- Man United win: Robin Van Persie makes his Man U debut alongside Wayne Rooney giving the devils a potent attack. Everton made some moves, but I think United will make a strong run to regain the title from their cross-town rivals starting with an opening win at Everton. Confidence Meter: 6 (out of 10)
7:05- Philadelphia Phillies: Halladay gets the start for the Phillies. He’s been working his way back into form over his past few starts posting a 1.64 ERA in three August starts, going 2-1, and striking out 20. He’s dominated the Reds lately and Cincinnati has struggled in Philly losing 15 of their last 19. Mike Leake gets the ball for the Reds coming off a complete game against New York. He’s been a bit up-and-down this year with a 4.29 ERA and a 1.28 WHIP earning him a 5-7 record. The Reds are hot and haven’t been losing many games lately, but I can’t go against Halladay in form with inconsistent Mike Leake. Confidence Meter: 3

10:10- LA Dodgers: The Giants offense is going to have to move forward without Melky Cabrera whose fake website couldn’t get him out of his MLB suspension. They had Cabrera for their last series against their NL West rivals and they were still able to manage only three runs in three games in San Francisco. It won’t get easier facing Clayton Kershaw who has won his last five games. They’ll be at Dodger Stadium where Kershaw is 6-3 with a 2.27 ERA in 13 starts. Kershaw has a 1.57 ERA against the Giants in his three starts this season. On top of all that, the Dodger lineup is starting to get on a roll since the arrival of Hanley Ramirez. Confidence Meter: 8
