Streak for the Cash players are going to have a full day on Thursday with The Barclays providing some nice PGA Tour props for the morning, UEFA Europa Qualifying and Spanish Super Cup soccer in the afternoon, and Major League Baseball and NFL preseason tonight.

Yesterday, my picks ended up going 5-0 I got my streak up to a winning streak of three with wins from Stuttgart, a strikeout prop in the Yanks-White Sox game, and the Giants. I was pretty confident in lots of my picks yesterday. Today, not so much as there are some tough picks on the board. Here’s the picks I like the most today:

Streak Picks for 8/23

8:16- Rory McIlroy: Rory is on fire right now. I’d take him over anyone. I’ll prove it by taking him over (gulp) Tiger… giving the tie… yikes! I wouldn’t put more than a W1 on this, but it’s a fascinating prop to watch. For some reason, I’m really pumped about the Barclays. Check my full preview here. Confidence Meter: 2 (out of 10)

11:22- Nine Strokes or fewer: I like McDowell and Johnson both to do very well this week overall and the par 5 13th is a birdie hole. Johnson’s length should give him a good shot to birdie this and McDowell has a solid iron game so he should be close too. This pick is subject to change based on how the course is playing but I’ll update if it’s playing hard. Confidence Meter: 4

2:00- Sparta Prague win or draw: Sparta has been around the Europa league the last few years and is one of the better Czech teams. They’re actually leading the league currently but its still early in their season. They’ll play Feyenoord who is a Dutch team that has struggled when they get to European play. They’re also missing some of the key pieces from the squad that got them into the league so I think Sparta will at least be able to get a draw although the odds say differently. Confidence Meter: 3

4:30- Barcelona win: Barcelona at home is always a good pick and after winning their last match 5-1 they appear ready to roll into the first Classico of the season. Madrid hasn’t been playing to their full potential, in my opinion. Barca is a scoring machine and they’ll pour it on if their rivals show even a crack. Confidence Meter: 7

7:05- Cincinnati Reds: Cole Hamels takes the hill for the Phillies but Johnny Cueto is every bit the ace Hamels has been this year entering with a 16-6 record and a 2.44 ERA. The Reds are hot and their lineup has been much better than Philadelphia’s lately, so I’ll go with the “New Red Machine” to take the game and the series. Confidence Meter: 6

8:06- Tennessee more passing yards in the first half: It’s preseason football so don’t put any big streak on this, but I think Jake Locker has potential and will look to rebound from a rough preseason so far after being named the Tennessee starter. The Cardinals side is a mess with Jake Skelton and Kevin Kolb. I see less potential there, so I’ll go with the Titans. Confidence Meter: 3

10:20- Atlanta Braves: The Braves head west to face the Giants. Tommy Hanson has been solid as of late and Atlanta has won the last six games he’s started and nine of his last 10 starts. He hasn’t been going deep into games and is just one start removed from the DL, but I still like his chances to spin a gem instead of Barry Zito. Zito has given up four earned runs or more in four of his last five starts. The Giants lineup is still a little thin and this could be a letdown game after a big three-game sweep in LA. Confidence Meter: 5
