After a bit of a slow Friday on ESPN’s Streak for the Cash, there’s an impressive 26 matchups to choose from today starting at ten this morning and running through College Football and Major League Baseball before wrapping up with the boxing match scheduled for 11:45 tonight. There’s plenty to choose from, but these are the picks I like the most for today:

Picks for 9/15

10:00- West Bromwich Albion win or draw: Fulham has lost three in a row while West Brom could move atop the table with a win at Craven Cottage. I’m not sure I’d take them straight-up but getting the draw makes them the pick if you start the day in the red or with a short streak. Confidence Meter: 3

12:05- Virginia Tech wins by 15+: The Hokies avoided the upset bid by Georgia Tech week one and then crushed Austin Peay last week. They go on the road for the first time this season as they head to Pittsbugh. Pittsburgh is 0-2 after losing to Youngstown State by 14 and Cincinnati by 24. VaTech should be able to take this one easily although the spread is just 10. Paul Chryst’s Panthers have looked bad. Give the points, take Tech. Confidence Meter: 5 (out of 10).

12:05- Any Other Result: The Huskers host the Red Wolves of Arkansas State who were crushed by Oregon 57- 34 week one (and it wasn’t that close). Arkansas State bounced back and beat Memphis 33-28. As I said when I picked them to cover at Oregon, Arkansas State isn’t nobody and that’s just too many points to give in this one. Confidence Meter: 4

3:35- Louisville Cardinals: Click here for analysis.  Confidence Meter: 7

6:00- Tennessee Volunteers:  Click here for analysis.  Confidence Meter: 5

7:05- Arizona State TDs + FG or tie: They could easily win the game (as I picked here), but either way I think they’ll cover this since they put points on the board with their new spread offense (averaging 54 in their first two games). Confidence Meter: 8

8:05- Notre Dame points form FGs + XPs: Notre Dame has a real shot at winning this game. They’ve put up 50 and 20 points and depending on State’s defense this could end up being 10-15 points they get from their kicking game. If Michigan State wins, history tells us it’ll be close. Confidence Meter: 6

9:05- Oakland Athletics: In a playoff-like atmosphere, I’ll take the A’s at home behind Jarrod Parker who allowed just a run in seven innings his last time out to beat the Angels. He’ll face Zach Britton who has pitched well overall, but got knocked around his last start and has a 1-1 record with a 6.62 ERA in three career starts against Oakland. Confidence Meter: 4

10:05- BYU Winning Margin: As outlined in my College Picks the Cougars will be out for revenge and Utah is trying to figure out an unstable QB situation. Confidence Meter: 5
