Streak for the Cash welcomes the group stage of the UEFA Champions League with a pair of 2:45 picks before a night filled with Major League Baseball and some WNBA props. There’s 11 total picks on the board for today, and these are the four I like the most:

Picks for 9/18

2:45-Manchester City win or draw: Man City  heads to Spain and they take on Real Madrid opening play in Group D. Madrid has been struggling in La Liga winning just one of their opening four games. Manchester City will look to carry their domestic success into international play. After winning the Premier League last season and taking the 2011 FA Cup, Manager Robert Mancini will take the Blues into Santiago Bernabeu in the showcase matchup of the opening day. Man City haven’t lost in their first four Premier League games, and I think they’ll earn at least a draw in this game. Confidence Meter: 4

7:10- Atlanta Braves: The Braves own the Marlins winning six of seven in Marlins Park this season and going 10-3 against Miami this season. Things don’t look much better for the Marlins tomorrow as they send out Nathan Eovaldi who has lost his last four starts. Overall, the Marlins have lost five of seven while the Braves have their past four. Atlanta send Paul Maholm to the mound who has struggled in his last few starts, but had a great game against the Fish earlier this season  when he allowed just a run in eight innings. Confidence Meter: 5

8:06- Cappie Pondexter: Pondexter has averaged 24 points in her last four games bringing her season average to 20.7. The Silver Stars have three big scorers with Sophia Young leading the way with 16.7. Anything could happen, but Pondexter’s the bett choice. Confidence Meter: 6

10:10- Baltimore Orioles: The Orioles have been on a incredible run winning six of eight and their last two as they head into game two of their West Coast series with Seattle. It’s a matchup of rookie as Wei-Yin Chen gets the ball for Baltimore and Seattle turns to Erasmo Ramirez. Ramirez got his first MLB win last start and has a solid 3.9 ERA in five starts and 13 games this year. Chen has been a bit erratic lately but looked good in his last start against Tampa Bay. Chen dominated in his only start against Seattle this year pitching  6.1 innings of perfect baseball before settling for a no decision in the O’s win. Since that game, Baltimore has beaten the Mariners in every meeting to lead the season series six to one. Confidence Meter: 7
