As we head into the final 10 days of the month, it’s time to get your sights set on your goal for the month in Streak for the Cash. If you’re not on a long streak, it’s time to decide what your target will be and pick accordingly for the remainder of the way. Friday we’ve got 13 total matchups to pick from starting with Russian Soccer, hitting the Tour Championship and the German Bundesliga before wrapping up this evening with Major League Baseball and College Football.

Streak for the Cash Picks for 9/21

11:00-Krasnodar win: This one’s pretty simple-it’s more of a pick against Mordovia than a pick for Krasnodar. Mordovia just moved up to the Russian Premier League and are just 1-1-6 in their first eight games. Krasnodar is off to their own slow start, but they need to be able to get this win at home as they host a team that appears to be over their head at least to this point in the season. Confidence Meter: 4 (out of 10)

1:45- No birdies on the 1st hole: Of the 40 players that played hole #1 in the opening round, only five made a birdie. Neither Steve Stricker or Matt Kuchar were one of those five. Anything can happen in these props, but I doubt either birdies the opening hole. Confidence Meter: 6

2:05- Tiger Woods: Tiger was one of my picks pre-tournament and I think he’ll have the lead going into the weekend. Justin Rose played well, but I’m going with another Tiger throwback day today on a course he knows and plays well on. Confidence Meter: 6

5:50- 6 Strokes: The two combined for five strokes on the finishing hole thanks to Rose knocking in a freakishly long 52 foot putt. Since that’s not likely to happen again, six strokes is the most likely outcome. Beware props though, they can always go either way. Confidence Meter: 4

7:05- Milwaukee Brewers: The Nats clinched the postseason last night and as a reward they get to host one of the hottest teams in baseball. The Brewers are looking to win their sixth in a row but will send one of their shakiest starters recently to the hill agains the Nationals. Shaun Marcum is 0-1 with a 5.70 ERA in his five starts since coming off the DL. He’ll face off with the only Washington starter who’s been pitching worse lately as Edwin Jackson gets the start with a 7.47 ERA in his last three starts. Neither starter could be around for long, but the Brewers bats are hot right now and the win means more to their playoff chances. I’ll go with Milwaukee getting their sixth straight here. Confidence Meter: 5

7:05- Atlanta Braves: The Braves head to Phily to take on Kyle Kendrick looking to lock up a Wild Card. The pitching matchup on the schedule is Kyle Kendrick vs Tommy Hanson. Atlanta has won eight of Hanson’s last 11 starts while Kendrick has struggled against the Braves this season allowing six runs in 10.2 innings in three appearances two of which were starts. Confidence Meter: 3

8:05- Louisiana Monroe wins or single-digit loss: To open the season ULM has traveled to face Auburn and Arkansas, which was played at a neutral site. They’ve forced both teams to overtime losing by three to Auburn and upsetting then-#8 Arkansas by three. I think both those teams are better than Baylor and with ULM at home in Malone Stadium it’s sure to be a raucous environment for the Warhawks. I think they’ll at least keep this one close if not win the game outright. Confidence Meter: 7

8:06- Nick Florence: Florence has passed for 341 and 312 yards in Baylor’s opening games. Kolton Browning has thrown fo 412 and 237 with OT in both games to help him out. I’ll go with Florence in a close one. Confidence Meter: 4

10:05- Los Angeles Angels: The White Sox have taken three of five from the Angels this year and both teams scuffle into this series having lost their last two games and fighting for their playoff spots. Ervin Santana has been solid lately allowing two runs or less in five of six starts. Santana has been in some tough matchups against the A’s and Tigers his last two starts and has been solid. He pitched against the White Sox August 4 allowing two runs in six innings in a game the Angels eventually won in extra innings. Santana will be opposed by Jake Peavy who has been decent but not spectacular lately. He’s 2-2 in his last four starts, two each against the Twins and Tigers. The Angels recent losses were close and to Texas while the White Sox dropped their last two to the Royals. I’ll take LA in what should be a great series. Confidence Meter: 2.5
