Streak for the Cash Picks and Advice for Saturday, September 22

South Carolina hosts SEC newbie Missouri and I think they’ll win by double-digits. In this picture, South Carolina Gamecocks wide receiver Shaq Roland (4) and fullback Qua Gilchrist (43) celebrate a Roland touchdown. Jeff Blake-US PRESSWIRE

Saturday is wall-to-wall Streak for the Cash Picks with 25 on the board as of early this morning. There’s EPL, MLB, PGA, MMA, and of course a ton of college football. Hopefully my solid 5-4 picks yesterday were able to land you in the green in this morning. I was off the grid and out of coverage for most of the day yesterday so I wasn’t able to make picks. I’ll remedy that today by taking advantage of picks all day long. Here’s my favorites:

Picks of the day for 9/22

7:45- Swansea City win or draw: Let’s get things started early in the EPL with Swansea hosting Everton and getting the draw. Everton will be without striker Nikica Jelavic who was injured in Everton’s last game. Swansea is solid at home and hasn’t been beaten in this young season and last year only lost four of their 19 home contests. It’s not a lock, since Everton looked pretty good in their last game, but I’ll go with Swansea and the draw at home. Confidence Meter: (out of 10)

12:03-TCU winning Margin: The Horned Frog’s defense is top-notch and Virginia can be run on as they showed last week giving up 56 points in a loss to Georgia Tech. I think TCU is better than the Yellow Jackets and will take are of the Cavaliers handily. Confidence Meter: 5

3:35-South Carolina wins by Double Digits: As I broke down in my picks post (click here for all 10 picks) South Carolina should be able to handle Mizzou in Columbia. Both quarterbacks James Franklin and Connor Shaw have injury concerns, but are expected to play. Dylan Thompson looked good in relief for the Gamecocks in case Shaw does prove to be ineffective. The difference in this game, in my opinion, is the South Carolina defense which is several notches better than the Mizzou D. Confidence Meter: 7

7:05-LSU wins by 20+: LSU has won 41-14, 41-3, and 63-14 in their three opening games of the season. The trip to Auburn will definitely be their most challenging game yet, but Auburn hasn’t looked great in its first three games. The Tigers lost to Clemson 26-19, Mississippi State 28-10, and just edged out Louisiana-Monroe in OT last week. LSU’s defense is crazy good and Auburn won’t put many points on the board. I think the final will be around 35-10 for a Bayou Bengals cover. Confidence Meter: 6

7:50- Kansas State 2nd half points or tie: Oklahoma at home is virtually unbeatable under coach Bob Stoops. The Sooners crushed the Wildcats last year in Manhattan 58-17. I don’t think K-State has a shot to win this game, but Collin Klein and Head Coach Bill Snyder will be able to keep it close enough to cover this prop I think. Confidence Meter: 3

7:50- Georgia by 15+: Goergia at home should be able to cover this spread. The full breakdown of this game can be found by clicking hereConfidence Meter: 7

10:35- Any Other Result: Oregon vs Arizona will have plenty of points scored to be sure, and I think Rich Rod’s new look Arizona team will keep it close enough to cover the 20 point spread used for this prop. It’s worth making a pick here just to watch these two high-flying offenses in action with somethin on the line. Confidence Meter: 5

11:55- Jon Jones wins by KO, TKO, or DQ: The odds are heavily in Jones favor in this prop as he takes on Vitor Belfort. I’m no MMA expert, but you can click here for a full breakdown. Confidence Meter: 4
