Streak for the Cash Picks and Analysis, September 30

David Price (14) and the Rays take on the White Sox today. If you don’t want to follow the crowd of football picks, Price and the Rays make a nice Streak for the Cash selection. Anthony Gruppuso-US PRESSWIRE

It’s the last day of the month and time to get all the picks in you can. Thankfully, the powers-that-be over at ESPN’s Streak for the Cash have given us 23 matchups to pick and find plenty of green to end the month. There’s early EPL action to start things off again followed by an afternoon full of Ryder Cup, NFL, and Major League Baseball action.

I’m aiming for 100 wins in my picks this month and also trying to finish with a good win percentage in my personal entry. Here’s the picks I like the most today:

Top Picks for 9/30

11:00- West Browich Albion win or draw: West Brom is off to a good start in Premier league play currently sitting sixth in the table with three wins, a draw, and a loss. Aston is off to a tough start at just 1-1-3. Villa has been playing better of late getting a nice win earlier this week in Capital One Cup action against Man Cit. They did lose their last Lague game 4-1 though to Southampton who had lost every other league game. I think West Brom should at least be able to get a draw as they visit Villa Park. Confidence Meter: (out of 10)

September 23, 2012; Baltimore, MD, USA; New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (12) directs the offense against the Baltimore Ravens at M

1:00- New England Patriots: I think the Pats bounce back in a big way and win on the road in Buffalo. It is a divisional road game, so it’s no lock. I think Brady and the boys will put up some points while their newly-reformatted front seven will slow Ryan Fitzpatrick and the collection of banged-up Bills rushers. Confidence Meter: 8

1:00- San Francisco 49ers: After a tough loss on the road in Minnesota, I think Jim Harbaugh’s team will destroy the mistake-prone Jets and pick up an always-challenging East coast win. Confidence Meter: 6

2:10- Tampa Bay Rays: With David Price on the mound and the White Sox on the slide, this is the best baseball pick of the afternoon. Confidence Meter: 7

4:05- Cincinnati Bengals: Click here for all my NFL picks for today. The Bengals are a legit team and have looked really good after an embarrassing opener. I think the Law Firm is in for a big day as the Bengals trounce the Jags. Confidence Meter: 7

6:25- 35 yards or more: These two offenses are high-powered and a bit turnover prone at times. With the playmakers in this game, it’s one of the rare times I’ll go over on the touchdown-length prop. Confidence Meter: 5

8:30- Eli Manning: Manning is the better pure passer and the Giants pass rush will most likely hurry Vick throughout the game. The Eagles may be able to get the win here, so I’ll stay away from head-to-head, but Eli is a solid pick in the passing prop. Confidence Meter: 6

10:45- Touchdown: It’s a coin-flip pick, but it’s the end of the month so go for it. If the first half is low-scoring FG is the way to go. Follow me at @FantasyCPR on twitter to see if this pick changes before the second half kicks off. Confidence Meter: 1
