Streak for the Cash Picks and Analysis for Saturday, October 13

BYU’s defense will look to putt the upset as they host Oregon State this afternoon in Provo. Douglas C. Pizac-US PRESSWIRE

Saturday is always a great day for Streak for the Cash players. Today’s no exception with a solid 27 options to start off the day. If you want to, you can start your day with the ATP Shanghai Masters Semifinal before switching to plenty of college football, a couple baseball games, and even a PGA Fall Series prop before closing the night out with the UFC 153 headliner.

The unpredictable and upside-down month that is October continued yesterday as my picks missed five out of six times. Hopefully today I can get back on the right track. There’s so many picks, so I’m going to give more picks less analysis today. These are my favorites:

Picks for 10/13

8:05- Andy Murray: I’m going with the slight underdog here based on a few things. First, the head-to-head is closer than most people would think with Fed holding a slight 9-8 lead. Murray won their last meeting in the Olympics in straight sets and he won two years ago at Shanghai in straight sets as well. He’s won both times these two have faced off in Shanghai and typically hangs with Roger on hard court. Confidence Meter: 3 (out of 10)

11:02- Louisville: Click here for full analysis of college picks. Confidence Meter: 7

12:02- Kansas State by double digits: It’s a tough road test for the #6 Wildcats but I’m a believer in Collin Klein. The only danger here is that K-State is too focused on next week matchup with WVU. Iowa State knocked off TCU last week on the road so they’re no slouch, but I think K-State gets the win by 14 or so in this one. Confidence Meter: 2

12:05- Michigan State by double digits: Click here for full analysis of college picks. Iowa has beaten Michigan State who will be looking to make a statement at home so I’ll go  Confidence Meter: 5

3:35- BYU: It’s a tall task to go into Provo and get a win at any point with Coach Bronco Mendenhall’s defense playing at an elite level. Without starting QB Sean Mannion, the Beavers will face an even steeper climb. I think the Cougars pull the upset here behind a defense that allows 8.8 points per game. Their two losses were both on the road and were against in-state foes by a total of four points. Confidence Meter: 5

3:35-80 points or more: West Virginia’s last two games have both been over 80 and this one should be too in another shootoug where the Mountaineers defense give up points but their offense scored even faster.  Confidence Meter: 4

3:40- Notre Dame Winning Margin: I do expect this game to be close, but I just don’t think the Irish defense is going to give up hardly any points at all at home to the Cardinal. I expect a 21-10 game with ND covering this prop. Confidence Meter: 6

7:05- USC Winning Margin: The Huskies are tough at home, but I dont’ think they’ll put up many points against the Trojans solid defense. The only way I think they’ll cover this prop is if USC goes up big early and they get a backdoor cover. Washington pulled off a big upset at home earlier this year, but I don’t think they’ll get a second one here. They’ve gotten absolutely crushed by Oregon and LSU and I think USC will follow their blueprint to get a nice road win. Confidence Meter: 5

8:05- South Carolina: Click here for full analysis of college picks. Confidence Meter: 4

8:07- Detroit Tigers: The Yankees bats haven’t woken up yet this postseason and I think they’re prolonged sereis with so many extra inning games against the O’s will take a toll as they face Fister and the Tigers in game one. Cabrera and the Tigers offense haven’t really gotten going either but they’ll enjoy the friendly confines of Yankee Stadium as they get their game one win. Confidence Meter: 5

9:05- Mississippi State: Click here for full analysis of college picks. Confidence Meter: 7

11:55- Any Other Result: Without too much of a breakdown since I’m not a huge UFC fan, most people are missing this one. KO and TKO are both any other result and since its “Silva wins by TKO/KO -215
Any other result +165″ I’ll take any other result. Confidence Meter: 6
