Running Back Rankings-Who to Start Week 8

Adrian Peterson (28) leads our rankings this week after a vintage performance week 7 against Arizona. Photo by Brace Hemmelgarn-US PRESSWIRE

With typical front-runners Arian Foster and Ray Rice sidelined on their bye-weeks the top of our rankings have a new feel and flavor to them as ADP and “Beast mode” look to have good matchups and be in good form. Check out our top 35 running backs for week 8 below

As usual, I (ZT) was joined in the rankings by Steve Copps (SC) and Jeffrey Littrell (JL) who are contributors for FantasyCPR. We ranked our top 30 with NR (not ranked) counting for 35 for averaging purposes.

I have enough room in my salary cap to either afford Felix Jones (home vs. NYG) and Chris Johnson (home vs. Indy) or Jonathan Dwyer (home vs Wash) and Marshawn Lynch (@ Det). Which combo at RB should I go with?

wow that’s a tough one… I think I’d go Jones/Johnson. The Lions D isn’t that bad and actually held Forte in check Monday Night. Dwyer may lose some carries to Mendenhall, so I think Jones/Johnson is the way to go if Felix is healthy enough to go on Sunday (as expected).

Good look! I was starting to lean that way and needed a little reassurance.
