With just a few days left, it’s time to get your streak rolling in ESPN’s Beat the Streak game. There’s six picks on the board today with international soccer and hockey setting up tonight’s Monday Night Football showdown in the desert.

October has been a tough month overall on Beat the Streak. In fact, no one in the game has reached 20 wins all month long. After a tough weekend, my record is back to .500 so I need a nice finishing kick starting with these Monday picks:

Picks for 10/29

11:30- Dynamo Moscow: Moscow is 11-4 and tomorrow they’ll host Dinamo Riga who are just 4-12. Moscow is the clear favorite, and a good pick in this one. Moscow is 7-2 this month but they deid drop their last game 4-0. Dinamo is 3-8 this month, but did win their last game 6-3. Still though, I’ll take overall record over just the most recent game’s results.  Confidence Meter: 7

2:00- FC Copenhagen: In this league, the tops in Denmark, Copenhagen is undefeated at 8-5-0. AC Horsens is 3-7-3 an has earned a draw in its last five games including one September 29 when they hosted FC Copenhagen just like they’ll do again today. With a draw a strong possibility, I still think Copenhagen is likely to get the win here as they had taken three of four before the most recent tie. Overall they are 16-2-2 against AC Horsens. Confidence Meter: 3

4:30- Real Sociedad: Sociedad is 3-0-5 while Valladolid is 3-1-4 placing them 15th and and 12th overall in the Primera table respectively. Valladolid has only won one of its last five games while Sociedad has won three of their last seven. Confidence Meter: 4

8:40- Cardinals W or single Digit Loss:  The Cardinals are at home and should be able to stay within 10 of the 49ers who haven’t looked great lately edging the Seahawks after getting pummeled by the Giants two weeks ago. I expect a similar script against Arizona especially at U of Phoenix Stadium with a low-scoring, close, hard-hitting divisional game on tap. Confidence Meter: 7

8:41- Frank Gore rushing yards: Gore has been rolling along putting up 131 yards last week, and 106 three weeks ago against the Bills. The game two weeks ago got out of hand against the Giants so he wasn’t given as many attempts (8) as usual. I don’t see that happening here and Fitzgerald will struggle against the always stout Niners defense with John Skelton as his QB. I’ll take Gore’s first half yardage, but these can always go either way. Confidence Meter: 5

10:15- 20 points or fewer: Remember the total for the 49ers-Seahawks entire game was only 19. Arizona and Minnesota also were under in their second-half last week. Confidence Meter: 6

October Scoreboard
